001: Welcome to She Starts Up!

Can you be all of these at once? The answer is yes, you absolutely can. Before we dive into the nitty-gritty business tips and motherhood hacks to get you where you want to go, here's a brief look into my story.

• I began my career as a paralegal while expressing myself through photography on the side. After gaining so much knowledge and experience as a paralegal, I started my own virtual paralegal business.
• After using some not-so-good softwares, I came up with my own system to prepare and file cases. I knew the industry was in dire need of something more modern and efficient. So I turned down an opportunity to expand my virtual paralegal business to get to the root of the problem, the software.
• I didn't know the first thing about building a software, but I did know what attorneys and paralegals wanted and needed out of a software. So I created my business plan, got in contact with the right people, learned how to code, and ultimately developed my web application into what it is today.
• But that wasn't all. I got married, bought my first house, and had two wonderful children - and have two more on the way!

This is just a brief look into my story. Over time I will take you back to explore my journey of starting a business as a solo female founder while building my family.
