Why did you start this show?
I originally wrote Severed based on my four-year obsession with all things true crime. My gateway case, into the realm of true crime, was The Staircase. I wrote the concept for the show on February 2, 2022.
What do you hope listeners gain from listening to your show?
I hope listeners enjoy our blend of narrative storytelling, in-depth analysis, and dry/deadpan humor.

Severed is a podcast suite that offers a rotation of content centered on true crime to paranormal cases. We hope to continue diversifying content by adding spin-off shows that are true crime-adjacent.

We love all well-crafted, insightful, and factually accurate podcasts.
How did you come up with the name for your podcast?
I wanted a name that was figurative and literal. Severed is that.
