From Ephesians 5:18-21. God intends for every Christian to be continuously motivated and strong in his spiritual life. He baptized us and fills us with His Holy Spirit, which is His power for holy, righteous living. When we speak of the baptism of the Spirit, we refer to a once-for-all gift. When we speak of the filling of the Spirit, we acknowledge this gift needs to be continuously appropriated.
