Happy Holidays! Well here we are with the final episode of Sequel Pitch for 2021! And as it's dropping on Christmas Eve, we really thought that we should get something properly festive in. A real holiday classic. One that everyone can enjoy.
Then we decided against that and did Home Sweet Home Alone (2021), Disney+'s newest entry into the long running kid's classic series.
But it's not all bad, because at least we had Alex Gilston (@PresenterAlex) back with us to see off 2021 in style.
You can expect some really scathing reviews of this movie (really sorry about that), lots of inventive ideas for traps (so maybe don't let your kids listen to this episode... maybe don't let them listen anyway, we use a lot of bad language), and a LOT OF FUN!
Also, stick around at the end of the episode for an extra special Christmas present! You're Welcome!

Welcome aboard Sequel Pitch airways flight 34 - Con Air (1997), we hope that you have a very pleasant listening journey with us today. Captain Ross Harmston will be leading the flight today, with co-pilots Andy Henry and Matt Rushton doing their very best to impress him in a head to head!
Just a few notes before departure; the flight today will last 1 Hour, 4 Minutes and 12 Seconds, please ensure all tray tables and seat backs are in their upright and locked positions, keep your seatbelts fastened at all times if you are in your seat as we are expecting significant turbulence (it's not a good movie, folks), and please, whatever you do, follow all instructions from the flight crew about the secure placement and packaging of plush toy rodents.

The meeting of minds is back for a birthday bonanza episode! This week, Drew is hosting in Matt's place, as he's taking a bit of time off because of some exciting news of his own!
This episode, the gang review and pitch sequels for the 1999 action/horror/romance/comedy, The Mummy, directed by Stephen Sommers, and starring Brendan Fraser, Rachel Weisz and Arnold Vosloo.
And yes, we know that we usually only do movies that don't have sequels, but this is a special occasion! As this episode releases just before the podcast's first birthday, we thought we'd get a special guest on, a guest who, funnily enough has their own podcast birthday right about now! Yes this week we are absolutely delighted to be joined by Em from Verbal Diorama, as a guest PITCHER! The Mummy is her favourite movie, and we couldn't not let her pitch for it!

Encanto (2021) - Review and Sequel Pitches!
Sequel Pitch
07/22/22 • 56 min
The meeting of minds is back! This week, Ross is hosting, while the gang review and pitch sequels for the 2021 Disney animation musical feast, Encanto! Directed by Jared Bush and Byron Howard and starring Brooklyn 99's Stephanie Beatriz, John Leguizamo, Diane Guerrero, Maria Cecilia Botero, Jessica Darrow, with instant ear-worm songs such as We Don't Talk About Bruno, The Family Madrigal and Surface Pressure from the man who continues to be the man of the moment in musical movies right now, Lin Manuel Miranda
You can expect Matt talking about his new twins and finding movie inspiration in them, four white British dudes just massacring the pronunciations of Spanish words and names (we are so sorry), a little bit of real talk about mental health, and the best opening of any episode of Sequel Pitch yet, hands down
