The meeting of minds is back for a birthday bonanza episode! This week, Drew is hosting in Matt's place, as he's taking a bit of time off because of some exciting news of his own!
This episode, the gang review and pitch sequels for the 1999 action/horror/romance/comedy, The Mummy, directed by Stephen Sommers, and starring Brendan Fraser, Rachel Weisz and Arnold Vosloo.
And yes, we know that we usually only do movies that don't have sequels, but this is a special occasion! As this episode releases just before the podcast's first birthday, we thought we'd get a special guest on, a guest who, funnily enough has their own podcast birthday right about now! Yes this week we are absolutely delighted to be joined by Em from Verbal Diorama, as a guest PITCHER! The Mummy is her favourite movie, and we couldn't not let her pitch for it!

Happy Holidays! Well here we are with the final episode of Sequel Pitch for 2021! And as it's dropping on Christmas Eve, we really thought that we should get something properly festive in. A real holiday classic. One that everyone can enjoy.
Then we decided against that and did Home Sweet Home Alone (2021), Disney+'s newest entry into the long running kid's classic series.
But it's not all bad, because at least we had Alex Gilston (@PresenterAlex) back with us to see off 2021 in style.
You can expect some really scathing reviews of this movie (really sorry about that), lots of inventive ideas for traps (so maybe don't let your kids listen to this episode... maybe don't let them listen anyway, we use a lot of bad language), and a LOT OF FUN!
Also, stick around at the end of the episode for an extra special Christmas present! You're Welcome!

Spider-Man: Far From Home (2019) - Review and Sequel Pitches! With Empire Magazine's Jordan King
Sequel Pitch
11/26/21 • 98 min
So we're not sure if you're aware but there's a new Spider-Man movie coming out in a couple of weeks. Some people might have watched the trailer, apparently?
We kid; here at Sequel Pitch we are very excited to see the continuing adventures of Tom Holland's Peter Parker, so we decided to swing into action with an episode so big it could fit the entire Sinister Six, and review the previous outing, Spider-Man: Far From Home (2019), Directed by Jon Watts, and starring Tom Holland, Jake Gyllenhaal, Zendaya, and many more.
You can expect discussion of Jake Gyllenhaal's frankly outrageous levels of charisma, a bananas amount of characters that aren't Spider-Man being brought into our pitches, and some artful footwork trying not to include things that are in the existing trailers for the new movie! How well do we do? Let us know!

Sequel Pitch
05/07/21 • 72 min
This week, Ross is in charge as we review and pitch sequel ideas for the 1985 Arnold Schwarzenegger action extravaganza, Commando.
Expect corny one-liners, carnage and destruction, and the age-old question; just what is it that makes a movie a 'classic', and does Commando qualify? All of this and more on this week's explosive episode of Sequel Pitch!
Content warning: This episode contains an outrageous amount of involuntary Arnie impressions, ranging from 'ok' to 'bloody awful'. You have been warned.
