Segment City - Segment City Episode 57 - Booty O's
play

07/29/20 • 60 min

Hopefully this cereal doesn’t... taste like booty. Thanks everyone, I’ll be here all week. On a very much related note, what are booty crowns? It is a Marshmallow shape for Booty O’s and I have no idea what it is. It keeps me awake at night. Oh well. This week on the podcast, Will and Theo talk about what amount of home constitutes not being homeless, answer the question of “Am I the A**hole?” for a post on r/ AmItheAsshole in which the poster created a website to make fun of his classmates and immediately got called out on it (kind of a cut and dry case tbh), the tale of Tarrare, the Hungriest man in history who was known for eating garbage, fighting with alley dogs over scraps, and for possible cannibalism and vampirism? Also this week, Theo goes over some Made for TV products to die for including one he made up himself (featuring the Uroclub, Saunapants, and the Itchy’s Blanket),and a new segment called “WHY?!: Cereal Edition” in which Will takes us through some of the wackiest cereals he could find including “Booty O’s”, “Cinnabon Cereal”, “Chicken and Waffle Honey Bunches and Oats Cereal”, and many more!

Segment City - Segment City Episode 65 - S'moritto
play

09/24/20 • 64 min

S’moritto. That name alone sparks interest. Is it a toasted burrito? Is it a tasty desert wrapped in a tortilla? Wrong. It is filled to the brim with confusion and hatred. Chocolate, marshmallow, peanut butter and jelly, and BACON! All wrapped in a tortilla!? That is so many flavors, textures, and smells wrapped into one. I feel the diabetes coursing through my veins just writing that. This week on the podcast, Will and Theo talk about the rules of good storytelling, some wacky s’mores alternatives including wrapping it in a biscuit, adding brie and peach to it, dipping it in baileys, and making a “S’morito” aka a bacon, pb&j, marshmallow wrapped in a tortilla. Will then quizzes Theo by reading review from Rotten Tomatoes and seeing if he can guess the movie in “The Most Rotten Tomato!”, Theo asks Will what product is the made up in “As Seen on TV!” featuring the Cozy Bib, Easy Feet, and Alien Tape, and Will tells some of the wackiest plots in the CIA tried in their over 600 assination attempts on Fidel Castro including poison cigars, ice cream and diving suits, exploding seashells, and more...

Segment City - Segment City Episode 64 - Weeaboo Sheriff
play

09/16/20 • 63 min

“This town ain’t big enough for two people with a body pillow collection! Where are we even gonna keep all of ‘em? They are full sized body prints.” “That is one of the few things we agree about pardner... That and the fact that One Piece is the best anime to exist.” “Draw!... Your waifu.” This week on the podcast, Will and Theo talk about alcoholic freeze pops, words that have lost their individual parts such as high school and breakfast, a Florida cop that misused his power to jail his own mistress, Will does an impression of every Boston Fire Chief press conference, the boys discuss Mario’s 35th Anniversary and all the video game announcements that came with it including a Tetris 99 clone and some old Mario games including a new 3D All Stars collection, Will ruins an edition of “Is this ‘The Onion’?” by knowing the story about a man making an impassioned speech to his local city council to ban the term “Boneless Buffalo Wing”, and Will does a piece about the longest fanfiction (and longest work of fiction ever) “Subspace Emissary’s World’s Conquest”!

“Capri Sun is proud to announce some new products! We have some new flavors including watermelon, mango, and... Human blood? Is this right? It’s flavored like human blood? It IS human blood? I have no idea how we are going to sell this to middle America. Undead America is going to love it though.” This week on the podcast, Theo and Will talk about how Covid is affecting the porn industry (and other major industries), if we would have our hands and feet switch one day a week for a million dollars, a new Tik Tok trend(?) in which teens pretend to be Holocaust victims going to heaven, the story of Gustaf Hakansson the “Steel Grandpa” and his unofficial victory in a cross country bike race across Sweden, and Will and Theo do a dramatic reading of chapters 3-5 of the most infamous fanfiction ever created: “My Immortal”! Ebony and Draco go to a Good Charlotte concert, put things in things, and get swore at by Dumbledore.

Segment City - Segment City Episode 58 - True Nudity
play

08/05/20 • 54 min

What is True Nudity? I’m glad you asked. True nudity is being completely nude, with not even a scrap of clothing on you. This is in contrast to Actual Nudity which is basically the most amount of clothes you can have on while basically being nude. There are also Lawful Good Nudity, Chaotic Neutral Nudity, etc etc. This week on the podcast, Theo and Will talk about what constitutes nudity, listing some gross Amazon sodas in flavors such as sweet corn, bacon, buffalo wing, ranch dressing, PB & J pumpkin pie, pickle, mustard, coffee, and cucumber. The boys also play some Dungeons and Dragons in “D&D For 2!” in which Bruno Wizardson returns home from a successful(?) ogre hunt to his worried band of thieves and concocts a hairbrain scheme to rob the wizard’s tower. They also listen to the ramblings of Randyll Randyllson and get into a fight with some desert pirates.Lastly, Theo informs Will about his “brilliant invention” of “Tubeworld!” In which everything is transported via tubes born from a reddit post about a boyfriend annoying his girlfriend with his “Souptube” idea.

Segment City - Segment City Episode 67 - Punching Pirates
play

10/08/20 • 56 min

There is a lot of pirate punching in this episode. Like we spend a lot of time playing D&D just getting into a fist fight with a lot of pirates. No pirates were hurt in the recording of this episode. This week on the podcast, Will and Theo talk about how scarecrows scare people more than they scare crows, for a million dollars would we lose the ability to fart with anonymity, the boys play “D&D for 2!” and in this adventure, Bruno Wizardson gets in a fight with some contradictory Desert Pirates with some Dwarves on his side as his companions use some sticky fingers to (unsuccessfully) pickpocket onlookers. Jory gets caught and Bruno has to trade some magic hand lotion to save his brother’s fingers. Also in this episode, Theo and Will talk about some of their top 5 favorite gummy candies!

Happy Halloween everyone! In this spooky episode of the podcast, Theo and Will talk about what Halloween costumes will be popular this year including dressing up as Covid, Tiger King, Among Us crewmates, etc., what scared us as child including scary Barney scenes, getting addicted to drugs, and running up the stairs at night, Will goes over some of the worst Goosebumps episodes (“My Hairiest Adventure” , “Revenge of the Lawn Gnomes”, “Stay Out of the Basement!”, “Strained Peas”, and “An Old Story”), and the boys draft dodgeball teams from a list of famous movie monsters! Which team do you think would win?

Segment City - Segment City Episode 75 - We Goofed It!
play

12/16/20 • 57 min

Sometimes you need to slam down that Goof em Up Button and say “I goofed it”. On this episode of the podcast, Will and Theo talk about cats pooping in the bed, the Cameo app and how it is a shallow post capitalist nightmare, we dive into the wacky world of eBay with “eBay Finds!” where we look at a strange Boar taxidermy mount and very funny dead mouse, Will talks about some garbage reality TV with “Wacky Interiors” where weird people show off their weird home interiors and “Married at First Sight” where contestants don’t meet the person experts set them up with until they see them walking down the aisle, Theo introduces a new segment called “Weird Al or Eminem” in which he reads a lyric and Will guesses if Weird Al sang it or Eminem did, and Will ends on an “Amazon Erotica” of “His Little Secret” by Jessa Kane about a woman shacking up with her step uncle who just got out of prison.

They had a lot of trouble getting Nicholas Cage back for this one. Oh who am I kidding? Nick Cage would be in anything even if you just offered him a hot meal and a haircut. I’m looking forward to figuring out George Washington’s perfect chicken recipe though. This week on the podcast, the boys read some of the weirdest headlines of 2020, discuss the hot specs of the KFC console that cooks chicken for you while performing far better than any console on the market, Will rants about Cats the Musical including going over the sparse plot and the wild characters, Theo goes over his new rules for 2021 including calling everything that acts like a vegetable a vegetable, not calling people’s ugly babies cute, and less acronyms in life, and Will goes over some Cat conspiracy theories including cats being able to see ghosts, mind controlling people with parasites, litter reminding them of Egypt, and cats being alien spies!

Segment City - Segment City Episode 45 - Lean Olympics
play

05/06/20 • 63 min

The Olympics have been getting too flabby with all these events! Back in Ancient Greece, dudes just ran around and wrestled each other a bit until one ruled supreme. Now we have Olympic badminton and horse dressage...This week, we talk about some Star Wars lore with Yoda, what gaming will look like in the future when we are old geezers playing LAN Halo 3 and Red Dead 20 on our Nintendo World, a quick history lesson on the Donner Party, how many numbered sequels a franchise can have, asking whether we would take a million dollars but a statue is erected in honor of your most embarrassing moment, discussing what will replace E3 and if we are excited over a more steady supply of gaming news instead of the hype of E3, Sony and Microsoft’s new consoles, what games are looking forward to and what news we want to come out over the Summer, and finally we take a crack at the Olympics (which has gotten too bloated in our opinion) as we go through all the Olympic games and say whether they should be cut or not!
