How to Win at Conflict in Your Marriage
10/12/20 • 28 min
Conflict in your marriage is guaranteed to happen. Try running a podcast with your spouse! Truly winning those conflicts doesn’t mean getting the upper hand in the argument though, or ultimately getting your way. To be able to have a happy and successful marriage for life requires conflicts to be managed in such a way that both you and your husband end the conflict as winners. Now, this may sound impossible, especially when you feel that you are definitely right, and he is definitely wrong.
Today’s guest is my friend, Starla Anderson. She and I will be discussing How to Win Conflicts in Your Marriage. You are going to love Starla! She is a professor of Conflict Management at Azusa Pacific University, educated in communications, law, and dispute resolution. Starla is also a mom who raised two amazing children and has a wonderfully healthy marriage. I’m so glad you joined us today as we learn how to win conflicts in our marriages.

Rest for the Tired Mom
Mom fatigue is real. Our families and home demand so much of our time and energy and then, add work into the mix... you are one tired mom. When fatigue sets in, we start to become irritable, and irrational, and if we push it too far, our bodies yell, “stop!” And we get sick. When that pattern of exhaustion repeats itself, then depression begins and robs you and your family of hope and joy. Life is not meant to be lived in a fog of exhaustion and despair. We can make better choices and set ourselves up for success. On today’s podcast, I’ll share a story of one of my all-time lows that lead me to make a lasting decision to prioritize rest and balance in my life. Joining us for today’s conversation, are my friends Michelle Acromi and Rachel Wilson. Two wonderful moms who exemplify balance, despite the demands of large families and other responsibilities. Keep watching as we discover... Rest for the Tired Mom.
