Afghanistan

There is a beautiful way that motherhood connects moms from different backgrounds, cultures, ethnicities... we connect in a supernatural way because of the commonality of motherhood that we share. I've heard multiple moms share how their hearts are breaking for the mothers in Afghanistan with the devastation that is happening there.
I began praying that God would give me a way that I could actually help and I've seen that same desire from so many women. "What can I do? How can I help? How can I actually make a difference?" It feels so helpless being so far away and feeling like there is nothing you can do while seeing people go through such excruciating hurt.
Today I have a special conversation prepared for us with a friend who was a foreign aid worker in Afghanistan. She is going to paint a picture for us of what it actually looked like to live in Afghanistan, amongst the people, in their homes, and truly experiencing their culture.
We will spend the second part of our conversation discussing what we as moms can do right now to truly make a difference during these tragic times.

Rooted and Grounded in Love, Part 1
Are you the kind of mom who loves being outdoors? Or, are you one who would rather stay inside? I believe that we all have a desire within us to be outdoors for purposes that serve our entire body!
Our time outside in creation serves our body, mind, soul and spirit. I have an exciting conversation for us today. My dear friend Melissa Castaneda is here with us. She is the Amy's Farm Director of Educational Programs and Media and she is a certified Revelation Wellness coach.
Melissa is a 3rd generation Japanese American Farmer and is a beautiful woman who has lived in dis-ease for many years as she has been given many labels from doctors. She has 3 wonderful children who are now grown, but many of her health struggles were while her children were still young in their home.
I'm so glad that I get to bring my friend Melissa to you today and I know you're going to be blessed by this conversation.
