Scripture Time

Scripture Time

ms joz

“There is a right time to do things, a right time for everything on the earth..." (Ecclesiastes 3). And I say the time is always right to acquire the truth about the one who created you (the Creator), truth about who you are (identity), the truth about why do you exist (purpose) and truth about where you are going after your life on this earth is over (eternity). Scripture Time shares these truths in a biblical but creative ways. Ms Jocelyn (Joz) and her co-host use variety to share God’s message of hope, redemption and salvation. The right time is Scripture Time!

Scripture Time - My Story Pt. 2: Poverty Disarmed
play

07/11/23 • 7 min

Have you ever wondered how faith can sustain you during tough times? Once upon a time, my family and I were plunged into poverty after my parents' separation. My mother took up a job as a domestic worker, earning meager wages, and we had to rely on the welfare system. Despite these challenging circumstances, we always had enough - food, clothes, toys - a blessing I attribute to the divine guidance and provision of the Lord. Drawing from the poignant message of the 23rd Psalm, I share my personal story of survival and abundance amidst scarcity.
In our journey through life, establishing a personal relationship with God can be transformative. I invite you to consider the significance of knowing God and having a personal bond with Jesus. There's a compelling promise that when we open our hearts and ask for His forgiveness, He manifests Himself in our lives in ways we may never have imagined. Let's explore this spiritual journey together, reminding ourselves of the Shepherd's invitation to know God. Remember, no matter the hardships we face, we are never abandoned.

On this episode of Scripture Time, I, Ms. Joz, take you on a nostalgic journey through the streets that fostered my youth, revealing the complexities of a place brimming with both hope and despair. Walk with me down the path of spiritual awakening as we explore the patience of God, the challenge of nurturing faith amidst the distractions of growing up, and the power of scripture to anchor us in times of need. We'll reflect on the importance of embedding God's word in our hearts and consider how inviting Jesus into one's life can transform and fulfill. Whether you're rekindling an existing faith or seeking a new spiritual voyage, this episode promises a candid look into the life-changing moments that define our relationship with the divine.
