Osemele tore his labrum and sought out advice on whether he should play through it or get surgery. The team doctors told him one this and his private council told him another. The NBA has long thought about playoff re-allignment and it they may finally be serious about it. In addition to a new playoff structure, the NBA is considering three (3) additional major changes to the NBA season. These are a mid-season tournament, a play-in game for the seven/eight (7/8) seeds and a shorter season. The jury is still out if the players will be agreeable, but it’s never too early to cast an opinion.
