Ep. 319 - Is Image Everything?
Schizophrenic Music
01/14/22 • 31 min
Is image everything? That was certainly the case for heavy metal & hard rock bands back in the 80's, but the music scene quickly shifted in a different direction in the early 90's. Grunge was king and anything glamorous or flamboyant in appearance was no longer cool; quite the opposite actually. To this day there is a stigma attached to bands associated with the glam metal scene, even if they weren't technically glam metal. But if you stripped away the visual and simply listened to the music being played, would you hear it differently? We would venture to say yes, but we're admittedly biased since we grew up loving heavy metal. So, what do you think? Can you separate the image from the music?
Ep. 296 - Juxtaposition: A Tale of 2 Concerts
Schizophrenic Music
10/29/21 • 32 min
If you've ever had opportunity to see live shows on consecutive days, then you probably noticed a contrast in the style of music, the audience as well as the performance itself. It's never going to be the same experience, but they can both be equally euphoric...especially for those of us who have diverse musical taste.

10/08/21 • 32 min
We decided to revisit an older format called the Schizophrenic Shuffle; where we literally hit shuffle on our collection and provide you with approx 30 mins of music. You never know what you’re going to get each time, but you can always count on things being delightfully schizophrenic!

Schizophrenic Music

With the return of live performances finally upon us, we thought it would be a fitting tribute to offer up a concert review of sorts. Mark’s experience at the The Peach Music Festival this past 4th of July was borderline euphoric, so today he offers you a front row seat. So sit back and enjoy!

Ep. 306 - Observations From Our Experiment
Schizophrenic Music
12/03/21 • 30 min
A month has passed & we successfully refrained from exploring new music of any kind...but what did we learn? In our quest to complete the infinite collection, we often found ourselves moving on to the next thing prematurely. Diving into the archives gave us a reboot of sorts & brought previous discoveries back to the forefront.
