Rubber Stamped Mixes

Rubber Stamped Mixes

Rubber

Rubber’s sets are all about versatility, he is equally at home dropping an Afro Tech club set, Beach / Sunset House vibes, Disco, Funk, Soulful House, Progressive / Trance or some fat Breakbeats plus he loves Drum and Bass. No matter what genre he is playing you will not find anything minimal, it is all about the melody and soul, hence his Slammin, Melodic, Electronic Music tagline. Nobody is going to get short changed either on set length on his watch. Rubber is renowned for journey sets with an average set being 3-4 and upto a record 9 hours long.
Currently in Dubai, previously London Matt Rubin aka Rubber has always loved his tunes. In London he ran his own JamBasha parties and rooms in association with House Music Heavyweights Kinky Malinki. In Dubai Matt had a residency at Fratelli and played regularly with Radio 1s / Hollaphonic’s Greg Stainer. Now with 3 kids and various sporting engagements live sets are limited. My gift back to everyone that loves their tunes is a regular podcast that spans the genres of decent electronic music.
DJ's, Groups and Tours Supported: Nick Warren, Bobby & Steve, Sebastian Ingrosso, K-Klass, Hoxton Whores, George Morel, CJ Mackintosh, Greg Stainer, Ian Carey, Choci, Drumattic Twins, Blank and Jones, Mische Daniels, Gordon Edge, Shades of Rhythm, Abigail Bailey, Raymundo Rogriguez, Graham Sahara, James Jackson, Mark Robinson, Grant Richards, Andy Ward, Dale Hooks, DJ Blush, Mark Dynamix, The Persuaders, Jamie Lee Wilson, DJ Flex, Afroboogie, Tom Craft, Stoneface & Terminal, Tocadisco and more...
I only buy AIFFS and I have started keeping my WAV recordings (96,000hz 32-bit) of my mixes which i then rip to flac for playing in HD at home. These are 2-4GB a pop but if anyone wants to listen in HD then contact me on [email protected].
Enjoy the music! Big Love Rubber

Afro house

African music mixed with a house beat. Afro house is a subgenre of house music, with its roots predominantly in South Africa. A fusion of kwaito, tribal, deep and soulful house music, in South Africa, it is classed as deep house or soulful house, although it has its own unique sound and is reflected in the musical style – particularly in the "stripped back" original percussion sounds and rhythms of South African culture.

A blend between Afro and Progressive with a twist of Tech. 1hr 50 minutes and 18 songs with all sorts of drums and percussion, haunting melodies and smooth baselines this is a delightful journey that would be equally as suited in an underground club or at a beach bar after dark. You can smash this in the gym or at home, just sit back and listen to all the house music sounds.

Artists include: Makebo, Jonas Rathsman, Mar+Mer, Denis Cruz, Teklix,Mooncat, Definittion, Sinan Arsan, Daniel Rateuke,Nick Warren, amongest others. I am really happy with this mix and part III will follow later this summer. Get it on and test out your sound systems so much percussion to hear!

36 deep progressive and at times afro tunes i bought last August. Split into 2 parts 1hr45mins each. This is Sleepwalker part 2 which is more uptempo than part one and play nicely afterwards. Can't beliebe I only just got round to recording it now. The 3rd tune is called Sleepwalker by Tinlicker and is actually the reason why this 2 part mix series happened. WAs my favourite tune of the ealy Covid lockdown and only just released by late summer, what a banger!

Artists include Tinlicker, Jerome Isma-Ae, KEENE, Port Manteau, Yeadon, Tom Zeta, Nigel C ans Andy Lakey

This keeps on building, be equally as good at a party or in the gym!

Turn it up!

80 minutes of jazzy soulful funky liquid drum and bass. Fat bass lines but not dark or minimal, rolling! Guaranteed to improve your workout and personally I like to listen alone in the car and hear that sub bass explode.

1hr 45mins of Deep Soulful House Music. Great for sundowners, the lounge or early in a bar, grooving! RAM.
Lockdown has given me the time to me make 8 mixes in 3 weeks which is unprecedented. 2 part Drum and Bass, 2 part Afro Progressive Tech, 3 part Progressive and a one off Disco mix. The next logical set was to come back with a Deep Soulful House Mix. This reminds me most of early 2000s when soulful was the main house music you heard in the big clubs as well as on pirate radio in and around London in that era. House FM, Unknown FM, Movers n Shakers, Pacha, Ministry, Key Bar, etc. This is 1hr 45 minutes of deep and soulful house from artists like Bobby and Steve, Mark di Mio, Grant Nelson, Black Motion, Walter G, DJ Spen, etc. Enjoy the instruments this is real music, turn it up and relax!
Podcasting facts - Each set takes at least 24 hours of work all in including record shopping, programming, recording the set, compressing/amplifying, adding sweepers, uploading to Podomatic, etc. Average costs are $100/150 per episode in records and hosting.

110 minutes of Progressive House music talking you on a journey starting slower with haunting melodies/vocals and melodic synths/chords. Gradually picking up as it transitions to a higher tempo and uplifting progressive flavours with accompanying bass lines.
Artists Include: James Grant, Jody Wisternoff, Denney, Xinobi, PRAANA, CamelPhat, Nils Hoofman, Above and Beyond, London Grammar, Tau, Demented Soul. This mix has a huge Tinlicker flavour. Based out of Utrecht, Jordi van Achthoven and Micha Heyboer make up the Tinlicker duo. Always honing their progressive sounds, continually shaping their destination, creating their new ideal in electronic music. Crafted by an expression of computerised soul, Tinlicker are the modern face of Dutch electronic dance music. Massive shout out to the Utrecht boys.
This mix will be great for gym, a run, sun downers by the pool or early in a club. Turn it up!
