RomCom Love

Diane and Bonnie are off to New York City to check in on Jason Bateman (our first JB!) and Jennifer Aniston and that cutie Sebastian. No one talks about this RomCom much, but it's a fun favorite of ours. It's got a small cast and everyone shines - who wouldn't want Juliette Lewis and Jeff Goldblum as your best friends? Hypochondria? Oh my God I have that.

Brittany and Bonnie kick off the podcast with Nancy Myer's gorgeous RomCom set in Los Angeles and Surrey, England! The beautiful score, the stunning views, and those horn-rimmed glasses.

We're going on a road trip from Chicago to New York City with Meg Ryan and Billy Crystal! Nora Ephron and Rob Reiner collaborated on the 1989 RomCom classic-that-never-gets-old. Let's have what she's having because when you want to spend the rest of your life with somebody, you want the rest of your life to start as soon as possible. Episode 33!

Did you say "The Fifth Element" is not a RomCom? We politely disagree. Have you seen it? Because Bonnie hadn't and had no idea why Brittany put it on our list. And then, holy cow, what a revelation of the Rom and Com in this movie. Bonnie and Leslie return to Ireland for an unapologetically romantic tale about love, loss, and recovery. Written and directed by one of the top book-to-movie adapters in recent years, the actors are given a lot of room to really BE these characters. And Hilary Swank is given a fantastic wardrobe. This movie has gorgeous views, unexpected music, and 2 karaoke scenes. You'll love it til the end.
