Dave has worked as a river guide since 1970. He has worked in the Grand Canyon primarily (listen in for exactly how many trips). He has also worked on the Main Salmon River in Idaho and in Southern Utah through Cataract Canyon. Dave's father is one of the original owners of Tour West , Frank Stratton. Dave has a deep love of rivers. He is a great story teller. He has a vast knowledge about each rivers human and natural history, geology, ecology, hydrology and many other facts about each river that he enjoys sharing. He is kind, humble, and an all around enjoyable person spend time with. I hope you enjoy our conversation. For over 25 years Louisa has enjoyed rivers, rafting and the West. She grew up in the small town of Spring City, UT. After graduating high school she moved to NY and graduated from Cornell University. She spent 15 years in NY and then while backpacking Europe decided to move to rural village of Chasteuil, France where she is currently living life to the fullest as an editor and professional musician.
Her experiences are as unique as her incredible journey through life. Her love of the River and the West is felt throughout the entire interview.

Layne Parmenter has worked as a river guide for 50 years. He recently retired as a teacher and principal after 38 years in the Wyoming school system. In 2014 he received the National Distinguished Principal award. Since 2014 he has served on the Harvard Principal Training Center Advisory Board associated with Harvard's Graduate School of Education. He has been a river guide on the Main Salmon River in Idaho and in the Grand Canyon. He is a wealth of knowledge and laughter. Enjoy Layne.

Lee moved from Merced, CA to Utah in 1974 to study art at Brigham Young University. In 1976, she married Joseph Bennion and moved to Spring City, Utah. She and Joe have three daughters together. She earned a BFA in painting. She has received numerous honors and awards from the art community.

As a 15 year old girl, Lee was left home when her father and brothers went rafting down the Grand Canyon. She wasn’t happy. She promised herself that the first chance she had to go on a rafting trip down the Grand Canyon she would go.
With over 30 Grand Canyon trips and numerous river trips throughout the West, Lee followed through on that promise to herself.
Her love of nature, grand places and wild spaces are contagious.

Tom was on the maiden voyage for Tour West in 1969. His father, Russ was one of the three founders. Tom ran commercial trips for over 40 years. His memory is impressive and listening to him describe the Grand Canyon over the years is fascinating. His recall is amazing even after enduring brain surgery in 2010. Tom also worked as a software engineer for Microsoft. He and his wife LeAnn are the parents of 3 children. They now reside in Mesa, Arizona where they own and operate Rock Steady Boxing. Enjoy Tom.

Keven Stratton is currently serving as the Utah State Representative for District 48.

He is the chair of the Natural Resources, Agriculture, and Environmental Committee. He also chairs the House of Representative Water Commission helping to guide state water policies.

Keven is a 5th generation Stratton living in Orem, Utah. He is the father to 8 incredible children. He has been married to his wife Laurie for 38 years.

Keven owns and operates a group of companies that employ over 150 people in the areas of Construction, Agriculture, Manufacturing, Real Estate, and Law.
Keven has been involved in rivers and rafting since the early 70's.
He currently loves sharing his love of the river with his family and regularly goes on rafting trips with them.
