Rich B History: Mixtape January 1996. **EXPLICIT FROM START**

WARNING: VERY EXPICIT FROM THE VERY START (hehe). 134.5bpm. Live set mixed from vinyl with no computer post-editing. www.richb.co.uk Recorded in the days of The Fruit Machine (Wednesdays at Heaven) and Sunday afternoons at The Market Tavern, in Vauxhall, South London. I was lucky enough to be resident DJ at both in the mid-90's. The Sunday session was part of "The Vauxhall Shuffle" - the Sunday ritual of The Royal Vauxhall Tavern at lunchtime for the show by drag legend Adrella, followed by The Market Tavern (at the time the only venue in the country to legally serve booze out of regular pub hours - because it was supposed to be for the New Covent Garden Market workers haha. The venue was notorious for the food it had to serve to validate the license). On close at 7pm everyone would pile back into the RVT for the evening session and show by another drag legend Regina Fong. R.I.P. both Adrella and Regina. The first track - Pussy "Suck My Pussy" became my trademark tune, especially on the main dancefloor at The Fruit Machine at Heaven where I would start my set with it most weeks. So brazen. The second track is a remix of Donna Giles "And I'm Telling You" that I did with Matt Kootchi, and was never released. Here for the very first time. Also included are: E-Motion - The Naughty North & The Sexy South Natural Born Grooves - Fore Runner Happy Clappers - I Believe Mighty Dub Katz - Magic Carpet Ride Sweet Pussy Pauline (Candy Girls) - Work This Pussy Kadoc - Night Train Moving Melodioes - Indica Commander Tom - Are Am Eye? and some Tony de Vit, of course. If you can name any of the other tracks, please let me know, it's all a bit of a blur frankly... www.richb.co.uk See the flyers at: www.flickr.com/richblondon 2014/15 Podcasts are available at: www.richb.podomatic.com ENRICHED ONE - THE ALBUM - MIXED BY RICH B. Rich B History: Live at Sherbet (London) 28 April 1996 EXPLICIT

Rock into Madness. 136bpm. A live set mixed off vinyl on 28 April 1996. Originally recorded on cassette, now tweaked with less muffle. Warning: sexually charged! www.richb.co.uk Sherbet was the brainchild of legendary DJ Pete Wardman (of Kiss FM and Trade fame), and was one of the very first Sunday afternoon clubs. During 1995 and 1996 it was open every Sunday from 11am to 8pm at The Soundshaft behind Heaven in London, and became legendary for it's uplifting music and up-for-it crowd of regulars. I was the closing DJ for the whole of it's run, alongside Rachel Auburn, The Sharp Boys and of course Pete Wardman. It was one of the friendliest and most relaxed clubs of all, a safe and fun haven for anyone wanting to finish off a long weekend of clubbing. It really didn't matter how messy anyone was. And it was just great to DJ at - I could play whatever I wanted and was always at my party best after a weekend of gigging. It was like coming home.
