Revelations Podcast

"How do I fill the hole in my heart?" This is a question that people ask themselves but search for it in all the wrong places. In a world full of empty promises, depression, anxiety, fear and suicide only Jesus can fill that emptiness and bring true healing and transformation.

On this episode of The Revelations Podcast, we are joined by Gen Z Bryce Crawford, who had a transformative encounter with Jesus at a Waffle House. After hearing a man's story about a loveless relationship, Bryce experienced God’s revelation[1] about his own relationship with Him. This revelation led Bryce to dive deeper into his faith and start sharing meaty biblical teachings on social media and now has thousands following him to learn more about Jesus.

We also talked about the house churches in LA and how pivotal moments of God’s revelation can happen at the dinner table. Bryce shares his personal experiences with Jesus and emphasizes the importance of prioritizing intimacy with Him to reduce insecurity and offense towards others. We also discuss the need for different types of people to spread the message of Jesus and how love is the greatest form of evangelism.

If you are in your own personal search for your faith and how you can start a true relationship with God, this episode is for you.

Here are three reasons why you should listen to this episode:

  1. Understand the importance of inviting Jesus into every aspect of your life, however mundane or insignificant it may seem.
  2. Discover the power of experiencing Jesus for oneself, rather than just knowing about Him theoretically or through other people's stories.
  3. Learn about the danger of relying on external sources for validation or satisfaction, rather than seeking fulfillment through a personal relationship with God.

Episode Highlights

[4:41] Why did Bryce choose to become a Christian?

  • Bryce's decision to become a Christian was the result of a personal journey and realization that the things he was trying to fill the hole in his heart with could not provide him with the peace, joy, and fulfillment that he was seeking.
  • He rejected other religions that require working for salvation because he saw that he couldn't even fill the hole in his heart without help.
  • Bryce's family saw him as the Christian member of the family, but he didn't fully embrace Christianity until a later age when he had his own personal revelation and encounter with Jesus.
  • This made him realize that only through a relationship with Jesus can he receive salvation, renewal, and a sense of purpose.

[11:25] God’s Revelation at Waffle House

  • A man at Waffle House who Bryce shared a meal, confided in him about his divorce. The man loves his wife but feels like she doesn't love him back
  • As the man poured out his heart, Bryce felt a revelation from God that he had been treating Him similarly to the man's relationship with his wife. Bryce had been neglecting his relationship with God and failing to notice the little things He did in his life.
  • Bryce was deeply moved by the man's words and realized that he too needed to invite God into every aspect of his life and totally surrender to him.
  • Listened to the full episode to be inspired by Bryce’s revelation.

Episode Highlights

[02:23] How Be In Health Started

  • Henry, Donna’s husband, used to be a pre-med student, then dropped out to become a DJ, then went on to pursue other interests.
  • He also grew up in a family of pastors and missionaries. He eventually became a tool for God to heal others.
  • When Henry couldn’t heal others suddenly, God taught him about the spiritual roots of disease.
  • In the full episode, Donna shares an incredible anecdote of how Henry, through God, was able to heal a woman who was allergic to everything.
  • Most diseases can be traced back to spiritual roots. Be in Health believes only around 20% are not.

[11:37] How God Heals

  • Doctors will only treat certain conditions or even just look at the symptom.
  • God, on the other hand, heals us wholly — mind, body, spirit, and soul.
  • Remember, God desires our bodies and soul to get along.
  • As a believer in Christ our bodies are a temple of the Holy Ghost so that we may glorify Him.

[15:13] People Have Become Sick

  • There are so many people now who are sick.
  • God gifted Henry to understand the correlation between sickness and a spiritual defect.
  • For example, fear is a significant component of diseases. Fear affects the immune system and leads to anxiety and stress.
  • God gave us power, love, and a sound mind. However, when we have fear, we put an obstacle to what God is giving us.
  • Those who have autoimmune diseases also have spiritual problems. It is common that they don’t like themselves.

[17:18] Donna: “God has said, He did not give us that spirit of fear...what did he give us? Power, love and a sound mind.”

[20:12] How the Enemy Keeps Us Sick

  • Our sickness isn’t just limited to us. Chances are, there’s a spiritual sickness that’s been in our long line of family history.
  • Not only do these sicknesses affect your physical body, but they can also affect your personality.
  • This is commonly due to the enemy’s work.
  • Donna emphasizes that they are not anti-medicine. In fact, she supports doctors and the medical industry.
  • However, there has been a shift in the pharmaceutical industry that believes itself to be the savior when it was only meant to be a bridge.

[23:24] The Importance of Prevention and Community

  • Be In Health programs aren’t just about healing. It’s about prevention. People need to understand what feelings like fear and bitt...
