Things we learned this episode: Harrison Ford does not always play the lovable rogue, and Blade Runner is exactly like Tom Hanks’ ‘Big’. This episode we’re taking a look at Ridley Scott’s iconic sci-fi film - Blade Runner: The Final Cut.

Please be sure to check out our guest Margo D. on her podcast: Book Vs Movie. Thanks again to Margo for being an awesome guest and for guiding us through the differences from book to movie.

Reel Comic Heroes - Reel Comic Heroes 025 - Moonraker
play

05/04/16 • 113 min

This was a weird movie. Overall, we liked it, but we're not really sure why. A lot of it doesn't work, and it's a bit of a mess. But somehow Moonraker has a charm that left us satisfied. With the Star Wars craze in full swing, Bond had to make it into space as quickly as possible. Let us know what you thought of Moonraker.

Our next movie will continue our journey across the vast ocean of space in a little movie called Star Trek: The Motion Picture.

173 - Mission: Impossible - II with George Hendricks and Jonathan Howell

WARNING: This episode is very explicit.

Welcome back to Reel Comic Heroes—the podcast where we take a deep dive into the best (and sometimes worst) action-packed, comic-inspired, and downright legendary films. Today, we’re tackling a sequel that cranked up the stunts, slow motion, and doves—Mission: Impossible II.

Tom Cruise is back as Ethan Hunt, but this time, John Woo is in the director’s chair, bringing his signature style of over-the-top action, intense face-offs, and, of course, some gravity-defying motorcycle chases. But does this sequel live up to the impossible standard set by the first film, or does it self-destruct in a blaze of fire and techno music?

Our returning guests are George Hendricks and Jonathan Howell.

Strap in, put on your best disguises, and let’s talk Mission: Impossible II.
