Since independence 61 years ago Sierra Leoneans have done little to impact any meaningful, structural transformation because there are issues of grave relevance that are not being given the attention these need.
Of course, since independence, the country has been encysted by this culture because the intellectual class has not sat back to do a genuine introspection that will produce a sustainable identity of nationhood built around the social psychology of collective emancipation. The mentality of divide and individualism is a deep-rooted challenge now becoming the crisis of the nation.
