Real Psych Talk05/16/23 • 59 min
Robert Jones was wrongly convicted and imprisoned for 23 years at the Louisiana State Penitentiary (Angola) for multiple crimes including murder, kidnapping, robbery and assault that he never committed. While imprisoned he got his GED, taught himself law, and later with this aid of The Innocence Project of New Orleans he was fully exonerated in 2017. While in prison he developed his own system for becoming mentally tough and overcoming obstacles in the face of tremendous adversity. Robert is also a motivational speaker, author, publisher, client advocate for the Orleans Public Defender’s office and co-founder of the Free-Dem Foundations of New Orleans to mentor at-risk youth. He was featured on episode #1714 of The Joe Rogan Experience. His books Unbreakable Resolve can be found on Amazon and The True Power of Endurance can be found at: rbkpublishing.org.
