March, 1945. As the Second World War was nearing an end, at an ultra-secret compound in Los Alamos, New Mexico, an international group of physicists was working on a project that would change the world forever...The Manhattan Project. After billions of dollars and thousands of experiments, the team, headed by Dr. J. Robert Oppenheimer, known today as the ‘father of the atomic bomb,’ was close to completing their mission. In an imagined world of what might have been, Oppenheimer receives a surprise visit from an old friend.
