QUICKs by Worldview Summit - Christian Nationalism and Myths About Constantine
play

03/06/25 • 1 min

Quote from the featured video:

“Constantine was the first Christian Nationalist.”

There is a common misconception that Constantine made Christianity the official state religion of the Roman Empire. This is a myth, as what Constantine actually did was issue the Edict of Milan in 313 AD, legalizing Christianity and ending centuries of brutal persecution.

QUICKs by Worldview Summit - Most Effective Argument Against Abortion in Canada
play

01/23/25 • 1 min

Quote from the featured video:

“So if human rights are for all human beings and humans reproduce other humans, doesn't it logically follow that to take a living human being and to do this to them,” and I gestured to the photo that I was holding, “is a human rights violation?”

Canadian pro-life advocates have identified the human rights argument as the most compelling argument against abortion.

QUICKs by Worldview Summit - Co-founder of Wikipedia Impressed by Arguments for God
play

04/07/25 • 1 min

Quote from the featured video:

“I was impressed by a lecture by philosopher of science, Stephen Meyer...”

For years, Larry Sanger was agnostic. But when he encountered arguments from Stephen Meyer—especially the cosmological and fine-tuning arguments—he began to rethink his beliefs.

Sanger was struck by the idea that the universe had a beginning and that it was very finely tuned in such a way that life could exist.

What do you think? Do these arguments for God make sense?

QUICKs by Worldview Summit - Pastor Contributed to Rejection of Fatih!
play

04/07/25 • 1 min

Quote from the featured video:

“You describe calling up a pastor, not to have an argument, but you had questions... And the pastor responds with contempt.”

When Larry Sanger was a teenager, he reached out to a pastor with sincere questions. But instead of engaging thoughtfully, the pastor dismissed him.

Sanger said that this interaction was unfortunate because he truly wanted answers, and the pastor was not prepared to give them. This experience contributed to his skepticism.

QUICKs by Worldview Summit - Do Women Have the "Right to Choose"?

Do Women Have the "Right to Choose"?

QUICKs by Worldview Summit

play

01/27/25 • 1 min

Quote from the featured video:

So, for example, somebody says, “Um, I think it's a woman's body - it's her body, her choice.” I'll say, “I agree with you that people should have choices – choices are good. Right. Choosing what to have for lunch, or what to study in school, that is a good thing. Now, if somebody chose to have a drink and then get behind the wheel of a car, would that be a problem?”

While many argue that abortion is simply about a woman's right to choose, there are some choices that are wrong. Killing another human being is wrong.

QUICKs by Worldview Summit - Are Atheists Open to Evidence? Or They Have Blind Faith?
play

12/24/24 • 0 min

The atheist Peter Atkins reveals a surprising stance: No evidence could convince him of God's existence. Even if stars spelled out a message, or he met Saint Peter at heaven's gates, Atkins would dismiss it as madness or a dream.
This raises an important question: If no evidence would ever be acceptable for Atkins, why does he ask Christians for evidence?

QUICKs by Worldview Summit - Atheist Explains Why He Rejects Miracles

Bart Ehrman argues that a resurrection is improbable because it would break natural laws that have operated consistently for 13.8 billion years. However, Ehrman assumes the very thing that he is trying to prove.

Quote from the featured video:
“I can't prove that God exists, but I also can't prove that he doesn't exist.”
Can you prove God’s existence? A lot depends on how one understands the word “prove.” The way many people understand it means that we can’t “prove” God exists. However, we can show that God’s existence is highly probable.

QUICKs by Worldview Summit - Big Bang Theory Causes Big Problems for Atheists
play

12/24/24 • 0 min

The scientific community's acceptance of the Big Bang Theory over the Steady State model has profound implications for our understanding of the universe's origin.
Dr. Stephen Meyer points out that, for materialists, this posed a particular problem because a beginning of the universe strongly implies a God who created the universe.

QUICKs by Worldview Summit - Are Christians Arrogant and Scientists Humble?
play

01/16/25 • 1 min

Quote from the featured video:

The hubris of Christianity to say, ‘We have everything figured out and everything is true.' Science has humbleness to say, ‘We know only this and we keep on researching to grow our knowledge.’

Christianity is not arrogant, although individual Christians might be. Science got started because Christian scientists took the time to investigate the secondary causes through which God acts in the world. The key thing to remember is that Christianity and science are in different categories, and they answer different sorts of questions.
