David L. Sloan IV is an American author, publisher, artist, and producer in Key West, Florida best known for his books about the Florida Keys and work in the paranormal field.

Sloan launched his writing career in 1998. The following year, he founded Phantom Press, Inc. and authored dozens of books about Key West and the Florida Keys, including cookbooks, travel guides, and collections documenting Key West’s haunted history.

During his 25+ years researching the haunted history of the Florida Keys and promoting Key West as a haunted destination, Sloan made groundbreaking discoveries about Robert the Doll, Count von Cosel, and the grave at Captain Tony’s Saloon.

His research and writings are used extensively by virtually every ghost tour on the island. Sloan is the author of Ghosts of Key West, Haunted Key West, and Robert the Doll.

He is a researcher and panelist on Scared & Alone and has appeared on paranormal programs alongside Jack Osbourne, Aaron Sagers, William Shatner, Rob Riggle, and Robert the Doll.

In June of 2015, Daniel realised his lifelong dream. The infamous “Hinsdale House”, a homesite of mysterious paranormal insect infestation activity and historical structural exorcisms, which has been featured in different books and featured on national network television series, became available for purchase. Wasting no time, he made an offer that was accepted, and he became its proud owner.

Daniel is the Executive in charge of Death Walker with Nick Groff. He has made numerous National Television appearances including shows like Paranormal Lockdown, Americas most Terrifying Places, Paranormal Nightshift, and My Paranormal Nightmare just to name a few.

Daniel is the Executive Producer and Cast member of the longest running independent ghost hunting show; The Ghost Finders. The Ghost Finders is proud to be featured Paraflixx , ROKU’s Spirit channel and can be found on Amazon Prime as well as other leading streaming services.
