Prompt Queens

We're tackling a giant. Today we write songs a la our hero, Tom Petty, and take a deep dive into songwriting nerd-dom. When one of us is counting out beats while the other is playing her chorus, you know we've reached a new level. We're glad to be back after a two week break and ready to finish out the year!

The girls are back. We knew they would be and they've written some sweet sweet sing along tunes for you and your's.

This episode has enough cheap beer, beach vibes, hot hits, Jeeps, and young people with under-developed pre-frontal corteces on Spring break in 1989 enough to satisfy the most sun-deprived midwesterners among us. And it has Hope and Emily writing songs about South Padre Island using their imagination and the internet.

My final interview from the dance is Mr. Mark Erelli. What a pleasure to get a chance to talk to him after being a fan of his for so many years. Mark (and Emily) and I have met many times through The Listening Room in Hastings, but this was the first time I had the chance to talk songs.
