PWU Latics Podcast - Caldwell Sacked!
Progress With Unity Podcast
10/26/16 • 56 min
The boss is sacked, long live the boss, but just who will that be? Lots of names on the bookies list but not much quality.
We have a game to review, Brighton, and one to preview, Cardiff.
Talking of Brighton, our very own Adam received a bit of stick from the Seagulls defender Shane Duffy via twitter, Duffy should learn to 'use' the English language correctly before making a complete idiot out of himself, ewes fool Duffy!

There's been a couple of managerial changes at the top end of the division this past week, how will this effect the teams involved, we look at how Walsall and Burton will cope without they're inspirational bosses.
Yanic to PNE? Not a chance.

PWU Latics Podcast - Craig Fillingham Interview - Need A Little Time
Progress With Unity Podcast
08/23/15 • 37 min
Exiled Wiganer Craig Fillingham, who has lived in Melbourne, Australia for the past two years, joined me for a chat about all things Latics, via the miracle that is Skype, surprised that this particular piece of technology has made it all the way down to Victoria! (tongue in cheek).
Craig gives us his low down on the lengths he goes to keeping up to date with the goings on at the club and his 'match day' experience involves him getting up at midnight and staying tuned in to Latics Player until the early hours of the morning.
Craig is a lifelong Latics supporter, originally from Highfield, he also has family connections with the club. We chat about the current season, results so far, expectations and hopes for the future.
Contents: Never lose the accent! (0:00); Latics/sports coverage in Oz (2:00) including frustrations of detachment (6:00); new season, new era (10:00); missing the cup final (17:00); Sharply ambitious? (20:00) Including: you can’t hurry success (28:00)

Hopefully that's them done with for a few years, toxic fan base, bonehead manager and to be honest, quite a poor side. How we didn't press home and have the game done and dusted by half-time is beyond me, but this is football and these things happen, we move on to Tuesday.
Unfortunately it looks like we could be without two of our big performers with Jimmy McClean and Curtis Tilt having to leave the pitch with what appeared bad injuries, McClean left the stadium on crutches after twisting his knee in a challenge for the ball, whilst Tilty looks like he suffered either a hamstring or a thigh strain.
Of the two Tilt will be the easier to replace with options of going to a four and bringing in Bennett or Pearce, with Kell Watts coming in, or staying with a three, again Watts coming in.
For McClean we do have good replacements but as we know he can win games on his own and he will be a big miss to the side.
Accrington are in town on Tuesday and are a bit of an unpredictable side, typical mid-table and can be good or bad.
Speaking with Stanley supporter, Peter Leatham, he identified Ross Sykes as their big player, looking at his stats across the season I can see why he is a fans favourite, 98 interceptions, a high percentage of tackles won, 16 yellows and 2 reds indicate he isn't afraid to put his foot in either, a real ball winner, unfortunately for Accy, Sykes was red carded on Saturday and misses the game at the DW Stadium.
Any sort of positive result will see us go top of the table, I'm going for the win.

A draw and a defeat leave us all dreading what's staring us in face after a little bit of euphoria last week, well that what it's like being a football fan, up one minute, down the next!
We have a look back at the Preston and QPR games, penalty decisions, bookings, goals and other talking points whilst Adam gives us his run down on his visit to Loftus Road, a tale of two halves by all accounts.
Just where are we at the moment, we have a look at the Latics form under Warren Joyce and ponder if we can still pull it around.
We finish off with a preview of the Forest game this Saturday and Si gives us the latest odds on a goalless draw.

A million thank yous to all our listeners and contributors from down the years as we have passed the million downloads milestone during this last week, very much humbled by the support, thank you one and all.
What a result at Wycombe on Tuesday, that 2nd half performance was as good as it gets, three great goals and the woodwork hit twice, we are a machine that is built for promotion, it's an absolute pleasure watching Wigan Athletic games.
Callum Lang is a special player and rightly grabbed the headlines with his two goals and exciting play, but we've just got to mention Tom Naylor, wow, what a player, Mr Consistency, game in and out he is averaging over 7.5 for his performances, what a signing he was back in the summer. Another top game at Adams Park, worked his socks off all over the pitch and grabbed his first league goal for the Latics to draw us level, breathtaking performance.
The big games just keep rolling on, Saturday we entertain Sunderland at the DW Stadium, a potential full house for what promises to be a humdinger of a match.
Mackem fan, Graham Falk joins us to give an insight into the goings on at the Stadium of Light and his prediction that the Latics will win the game is kidding none of us. Sunderland have recruited a top manager in Alex Neil and will make it very difficult for us, but the lads are confident that we can rack up another three points as we edge ever closer to our season goal of promotion.
Up the tics!

Sheffield Wednesday review – what a dull game
Norwich and Omar Bogle at the double, more like it and signs that we could actually get out of trouble, if only we would play with intent.
Can we stay up Steward Hart asks? I think we're split 60/40 on this one.
Fulham at the weekend down by the river, preview.
A Valentine treat for the Black Country, the Latics are at Wolves on Tuesday, preview.
