Productive Ministry - 26: The Nashville Statement

Productive Ministry

play

09/04/17 • 55 min

Instead of a sponsor this week, we're encouraging people to donate and volunteer to hurricane Harvey relief. If you are looking for somewhere to donate, visit productiveministry.org/harvey

From its preamble: "The Nashville statement is a document put out by Evangelical Church leaders and The Council on Biblical Manhood and Womanhood (CBMW). The statement is a response to an increasingly post-Christian society that has embarked upon a massive revision of what it means to be a human being." The statement consists of 14 articles that each affirm and deny a belief. They cover a range of topics from a prohibition on sex outside of marriage to the connection between biological sex and gender identity.

Because of the significance of its signatories and purpose, Productive Ministry wanted to have conversation about The Nashville Statement. This episode is a conversation between Rocky and Dr. Joe Paris. Joe Paris is a Campus and Teaching Pastor in North Texas. He has a D. Min in Apologetics and is a member of the Evangelical Philosophical Society.
