Sarah Broadie is in the Moral Philosophy Department at the University of St Andrews. Her publications include Nature, Change, and Agency in Aristotle’s Physics (1982); Passage and Possibility: a study of Aristotle’s modal concepts (1982); Ethics with Aristotle (1991); Aristotle, Nicomachean Ethics: Commentary, with translation by Christopher Rowe (2002); Aristotle and Beyond, Essays on Metaphysics and Ethics (2007); Nature and Divinity in Plato’s Timaeus (2011); Philoponus on Aristotle, Physics 4. 10-14 (on Time), translation and notes (2012). She is a Fellow of the British Academy, the Royal Society of Edinburgh, the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, and the Academia Europaea.
This year's Presidential Address marks the official inauguration of Professor Sarah Broadie (St. Andrews) as the 105th President of the Aristotelian Society.
