Not having been on any form of birth control since her mid 30’s, neither Jessica, her husband or her 14-year-old daughter expected her to have a baby at 41 years old. And while Jessica and her husband soon embraced the arrival of a new baby, their daughter, who vehemently opposed having a sibling, was a harder sell. Having to deal their daughter’s shock and anger in having a new baby in the home, this was the hardest part of Jessica’s pregnancy, but she shares how the couple was able to overcome this hurdle.
Additionally, Jessica shares how she dealt with her surprise diagnosis of having Gestational Diabetes, how following a Keto diet may have played a part in conceiving naturally, why she skipped genetic and the Nipt testing, and the reason for choosing to pump exclusively from day one. To hear more, tune in to this episode for Jessica’s full Pregnancy after 40 Journey and Story.

Join us this episode as Ryan Kipping, a clinically trained Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, Certified Lactation Educator, and Author of "The Feel-Good Pregnancy Cookbook" shares how she helps women feel confident in their ability to properly nourish a growing baby through a real food approach.
ABOUT RYANN KIPPING:
Ryann is the founder of The Prenatal Nutritionist, a virtual nutrition private practice, which focuses on preparing women for pregnancy and conquering nutrition during and after pregnancy. She is also the founder of The Prenatal Nutrition Library, an online community for evidence-based nutrition information before and during pregnancy.
Ryann has helped hundreds of women escape confusing and outdated nutrition information to find a happy, feel-good pregnancy. Simply put, advice to “take a prenatal vitamin” is not enough.
If there is any time in your life to make nutrition a priority, it’s now. Eating for two people is different than eating for one. Appetite changes, intense cravings, morning sickness, and heartburn comes in winds and you’re forced to lean into your body’s cues like never before.
During pregnancy, you have to eat intentionally and I’m here to make it easy for you. I’ve done all the research, so you don’t have to spend another minute debating your every bite.
Having the “pregnancy glow” is great and all, but feeling that glow (confidence, nourishment, and energy) on the inside is what matters the most.
Ryann also creates content daily for her popular Instagram account @prenatalnutritionist.

Already having 4 children, with her youngest being 14 years old, and thinking that she was done having children and accepting the fact that she was pre-menopausal, Rachel was stunned when she found out that she was unknowingly 18 weeks pregnant. Initially being concerned about having a baby at this age, Rachel soon embraced this pregnancy and chronicled her entire Pregnancy After 40 Journey on Instagram. Hailing from Australia, super positive and motivational, and refreshingly honest, Rachel had a textbook pregnancy and delivery at 46, which she believes was the result of being naturally fit all her life. Sharing her labor via video on her timeline, Rachel shows how she labored and delivered naturally and unmedicated despite her healthcare provider trying to discourage her from having a VBAC (Vaginal Birth After Cesarean). To hear more, tune in to this episode for Rachel’s full Pregnancy after 40 Journey and Story.
