Errol Morris interviews actor Peter Sarsgaard. He plays CIA scientist Frank Olson in scripted segments, imagining what could have happened in Olson’s last days. They discuss the challenge of playing a real person and Sarsgaard’s relationship to the story.

In the fourth and final episode, host Cate Blanchett discusses what happened next with the Australian immigration system, following the period when Stateless was set with Gillian Triggs, from UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency. Cate also catches up one last time with her dear friends and Stateless series co-creators, Tony Ayres and Elise McCredie.
