Pod Off Course: A Supergirl Podcast

In this episode, we discuss Supergirl Season 1, Episode 2, “Stronger Together”. We also try to answer the important questions like - how do boats actually transport oil? How does women fashion work and are women’s pant usually very tight fitting? Are you afraid of snakes? I don’t think we actually answer any of them definitively, but we have a good time trying. There are some outtakes after the outro that highlights the struggles of podcasting or Shelley’s struggle to podcast. There is also a shout out to the late great Ruth Bader Ginsburg in this episode, which was recorded before her passing.

In this episode we discuss Supergirl Season 5, Episode 14 “The Bodyguard”. Supergirl is tasked with being Andrea’s bodyguard from an unknown entity that is trying to kill Andrea. The only thing that suffers in the attacks is the integrity of the structure of the Catco building. Seriously, do they have extra insurance on their elevators? Kara makes a questionable decision that we think is based on a trope that has been used ad nauseam. We also briefly discuss the power wielded by fishnet stockings.
