E33 - Fort Obama and the Woke Culture's Renaming Efforts
Pod Bless America
06/06/22 • 54 min
Monuments are often built to commemorate moments in history. Removing them means forgetting the parts of our history we don’t like. George Floyd's death nearly two years ago, however, sparked critical conversations about systemic racism in the county. It also sparked a movement for the removal, renaming, and relocation of monuments and other symbols of the Confederacy.
Many people argue that Confederate monuments are important symbols of Southern heritage and a significant part of American history. Others view them as symbols of racism and white supremacy. The debate over Confederate monuments has raised some important questions about the role of public memorials in our society. Do they represent our shared history or do they represent our divisions?
In this episode, Jim and Dan discuss a topic suggested by a listener, which is the renaming of military installations that honor confederates. They will talk about how the left is erasing history, taking down statues, and changing military installations' names.

Instead, they're gonna erase it so that we forget about it." - Jim Larkin

"I believe that the federal government is lost. I don't think in our lifetime, we're going to be able to rein that federal government in. "We know this to be true, a year ago today we were energy independent and now we're not. And I guess that's our problem with this administration."

If we can get people, more of who are in the middle, to take part in the local government and have the conversations, I think we'd see we have a lot more in common or that we want to get done and accomplish together."

15:07 - "She (Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez) is the poster child of the CDC until she gets to Florida and stars in a 'Congresswoman Gone Wild'. She's been in a packed venue with no mask on, having a great time, loving the beach, leaving her whole state of New York, and just coming down and vacationing in beautiful Florida. Problem is that she got caught." - Jim Larkin
23:23 - "The simple fact that she (Marjorie Taylor Greene) is not following the narrative and she's getting kicked off of major social media platforms, that should scare everybody. Because if you're not following the narrative, now you're gonna be in jeopardy of losing your voice." - Jim Larkin
39:36 - "So they're saying (CDC) that now it's (COVID) not so deadly that we can't be open. So all you, business owners out there who lost your business during the first lockdown, what do you guys think about this? What do you think about the fact that now it's not deadly? This is exactly why nobody trusts Fauci and nobody trusts the CDC anymore. This is exactly why the government should have stayed out of it from the start and let the CDC do what the CDS do and just let them be independent." - Jim Larkin

E14 - SCOTUS and Vaccine Mandates: Biden's Failure
Pod Bless America
01/24/22 • 42 min
The right to liberty is a fundamental right that is enshrined in the United States Constitution. This right protects citizens from being forced to do anything against their will. The vaccine mandate, on the other hand, has been causing controversy as it is clearly an attempt to compromise this right.
In a stunning turn of events, the Supreme Court has ruled that the COVID vaccine mandate is unconstitutional. This is a major win for freedom and individual liberty.
In today’s episode of the Pod Bless America Podcast, Jim and Dan talk about the Supreme Court’s ruling on vaccine mandate, how the federal government is trampling on first amendment rights, and the way the Biden administration is dividing the country.
Also featured in this episode are a few audio clips, including Joe Biden's past speech about uniting America, yet his actions today undermine the constitution and create division.

Favorite Quotes
13:13 - “When does this stop? When do we finally just say, 'My God, you put your hand on the Bible to uphold the constitution and your entire presidency is nothing but end games around the constitution. He knows he can't do it himself so he's having other people do his bidding. It's disgusting. He's imploring social media companies to censor Americans is what it comes down to. It is. And on his behalf." - Jim Larkin and Dan Wilkinson Jr.
2:07 - "There are a lot of people out there that have the vaccine that are still against this mandate. They understand freedom and they understand liberty. They're willing to lose their jobs, even though they've vaccinated, as they believe so strongly in individual liberty." - Jim Larkin
26:31 - "What the Supreme Court is relying heavily on right here is that you (federal government) don't have the right to do this. There is nothing in the constitution that gives you the right to mandate private companies, to force vaccines on their employees." - Jim Larkin
39:04 - "The people that are on the opposite, they believe that those (SCOTUS) judges are Republican judges, that it's all partisan. But as long as they are ruling for the constitution, that's how it's supposed to work. They are always supposed to be on the side of the constitution." - Jim Larkin

E32 - The Shooting Massacre at Robb Elementary School
Pod Bless America
05/30/22 • 64 min
In the wake of the tragic shooting at Robb Elementary School, the long-standing debate surrounding gun control has been reignited. Gun control has been a highly contentious issue for many years, and there is no clear consensus on the best way to address it. Gun control advocates argue that firearms should be strictly regulated in order to prevent mass shootings from taking place, while opponents maintain that more guns in the hands of law-abiding citizens will make society safer.
While there is no single answer to how gun control can be best addressed, it is important to remember that the Robb Elementary School shooting has left 21 families in mourning, an empty seat at the dining table that will never to be filled again, and dreams that have crumbled into ashes. As the nation mourns the victims, policymakers and the American people need to decide what is best for the country.
In this episode, Jim and Dan talk about the recent Robb Elementary School shooting. They will speak about how school resource officers are heroes, why the gun control laws only affect good citizens and not criminals, and how mental illness is connected to gun violence.
In This Episode
01:10 - How border patrol agents are now trained to respond to threats
09:03 - The heartbreaking story of the victims' families

Favorite Quotes
09:35 - "There are 14 families out there that sent their kids to school, their fourth grader to school and thought they were going to see them tonight, thought they were going to sit around the dinner table tonight with their kids. And they're not, ever again." - Jim Larkin
22:54 - "And these are the same talking points we say every single time a school shooting happens. Not one criminal is gonna be affected by any law you pass. You know it's gonna affect? It's gonna affect Dan who normally carries a gun but doesn't when he goes to the school because it's illegal now. But you know who is gonna carry a gun? This motherf*** at Robb Elementary School. That's who's gonna carry a gun." - Jim Larkin
43:12 - "What pisses me off is that: Biden protected with guns, Harris protected with guns, congressmen protected with guns, Hunter Biden protected with guns. Everybody's protected with guns. But they're not willing to protect our kids with guns." - Jim Larkin
