Cam Akers doomsday clock
Waiver Wired - Season 2, Episode 11: The Podfather Matt Kelley (@fantasy_mansion) has pinpointed top fantasy football waiver wire adds and FAAB bids heading into Week 12. Gus Edwards is an instant plug-and-play option. Cam Akers continues to fly under the radar. Boston Scott has arguably looked better than Miles Sanders in a starting role this season. Tony Pollard's continued usage in the fourth quarter baffled many. Devontae Booker was stymied in week 11 but he remains one of the NFL's undisputed handcuff backs. Brian Hill is operating as both a satellite and breather back in Atlanta. Stash Cordarrelle Patterson for his versatile and explosive skill set. Devine Ozigbo is the rare 1:1 handcuff back who is still available on deep league waiver wires. Stranger things have happened than C.J. Prosise usurping Duke Johnson in Houston. D'Onta Foreman has seized the back-up role in Tennesse from Jeremy McNichols. Nelson Agholor is having a Devante Parker-lite rejuvenation campaign in 2020. Tim Patrick is a priority add every damn week and is officially a top-30 in fantasy points per game for wide receivers since Week 3. Darnell Mooney was cut in many leagues after delivering a dud heading into a bye week. Jakeem Grant is now locked in as the No. 2 wide receiver in Miami and gets Tua back in Week 12 to host the Jets. Russell Gage who commanded 100-plus air yards in Julio Jones' absence in Week 12. Marquez Valdes-Scantling is known for feasting on soft secondaries, but Allen Lazard is back and likely to run more routes in Week 12 vs. Chicago. Denzel Mims operated as the clear alpha and soaked up eight targets on Sunday. Richie James surprisingly usurped Kendrick Bourne for the No. 2 WR role in San Francisco in Week 10. K.J. Hamler's speed offers more weekly upside than Tim Patrick, but he is not commanding as many targets and remains a bench stash only. Josh Reynolds dudded out against Tampa after four consecutive weeks with 70-plus air yards and 8-plus targets in three out of four. Damiere Byrd was a great dart throw vs. Houston last week, but he is far from a receiver you can count on for sustained weekly production. David Moore is the NFL's only true handcuff wide receiver has monster upside tethered to Russell Wilson and is a must-stash for all fantasy teams that have secured playoff births. Laviska Shenault will likely return just before Gardner Minshew is eased by into the starting quarterback role in Jacksonville. Stash Gardner Minshew in 2QB and superflex leagues where available. With Andy Dalton back under center, take a quick look at Dalton Schultz's game log the last three weeks: 6-53, 4-48, and 4-25-1.
