Ep.36 Choosing & moving mulch - Andre Pedroli (Perth Materials Blowing)

Plants Grow Here - Horticulture, Landscape Gardening & Ecology

Andre Pedroli is the managing director for Perth Materials Blowing (PMB), which is a company that moves mulch with a giant reverse-cycle vacuum on a truck, but make no mistake: he's done his hard yards when it comes to moving mulch by hand. In this episode he walks us through some of the benefits of mulch, some of the different types, and how to move it easily with a mulch fork and wheelbarrow or bucket. He also explains when it might be worth your while to bring in a company like PMB or their sister company We Blow in Melbourne to get the job done more efficiently.

Ep.37 Identifying plant families w/ flowers - Thomas J. Elpel (Botany In A Day, Wildflowers & Weeds, Green University)

Thomas J. Elpel is a personal hero of mine - I've learnt so much from his resources, both before I began my formal training and then again during my plant identification unit during Tafe. In this episode, I'm so excited to introduce all of you to the work he's best known for, which is identifying plant families using flower patterns. Make sure you check out his links so that you can experience what I've experienced!
