When we are not connected emotionally, interpersonally, and emotionally, we isolate, our brain fragments, and we tend to do whatever it takes to get peace in our bodies, frequently in addiction. Discussing attunement, and parents who don’t respond to their child’s emotions, orphaning them. Healing (recovery) includes grieving and feeling unfelt feelings, in the safety of another person. The human heart cannot heal with a cup of coffee, Bible, Journal, and a good view out the window.
