Pharmacy Crossroads10/05/21 • 40 min
Chris Antypas, PharmD, pharmacy owner and health insurance expert, shares examples of ways pharmacy owners can partner with employers, brokers and pharmacist friendly PBM’s to improve patient care. Antypas is also interviewed by Robyn Amberg who works for the Tabula Rasa Healthcare division, PrescribeWellness. One unique aspect of Antypas’s career is that in addition to his ownership interest in Asti’s South Hills Pharmacy, a high volume independent in the Pittsburg area he is also employed as the VP Pharmacy for Henderson Brothers, a large health insurance brokerage that helps employers all across the country purchase health insurance, and often, due to Antypas’s involvement, advises employers select a policy that includes a PBM services that pay for enhanced care services such as the MedWise program from PrescribeWellness.
