A house in Massachusetts has a horrible reputation. The new owner needs to find out why, so he places an ad in a local paper and finds two fellows (a Private Investigator and a University Professor with an interest in the occult) to figure out what's going on.
Call of Cthulhu is a TTRPG system based on the cosmic horror genre of literature, often associated with H.P. Lovecraft. For the last 40 years, Sandy Petersen and the folks at Chaosium have been improving and expanding the game, letting players use the Basic Roleplaying system to confront the unknown. Unlike other TTRPGs, players in Call of Cthulhu take the roles of regular people in over their heads against powerful beings that they can barely even fathom.
