"I just want to code in a corner", not even learn about emotions, but that doesn't work because they are needed for pair programming and TDD. Then if I'm honest, I didn't want to learn about emotions or mental health issues or genuine human connection and carried on coding in a corner, flying internationally for my speaking and consulting in SQL career. I now know after a lot of growth and therapy, which Ill be honest are fucking slow, and very costly both financially and now emotionally to us as a new couple and family. I'm learning fast, but not fast enough to have prevented what has happened to us over the last few years. Much less did i know or want to become the poster child for men's rights and leaders domestic abuse stories, but yes we should all be careful who we marry. - Dave Ballantyne
