Gene says the Green New Deal won't work and he gives some reasons why there are too many obstacles and challenges to its success. Right now, it's just a dream, it will take a lot more to make it reality. A lot more. There are other things to focus on that will make an immediate impact on our country and economy, some are just a policy change away. In other words, we need a "green light" and not a "green new deal".

She was indicating that the state government of Kansas would be fine and could weather a recession, but Gene poses the question that many politicians forget, "What about the people?". What about the common working person who has to weather the effects of a potential recession, those who already feel the pinch of inflation.
