I want us to go to the Book of psalms chapter 25.. David in this chapter pleads out to God not only for forgiveness of past sins . He shows here that he wasn’t ashamed and admitted he was a sinner , And puts his attitude and his heart in such a place
that he says I’m hurting lord and I’m crying out to you. Not only does he admit and pleas for forgiveness he demonstrates by his words here that he is broken over his sin.

We look at this passage and we see Jesus goes back 3 times to find his followers asleep I want to ask you a question this morning.
Are you asleep are you comfortable are you tuck away in your pew and just ready to get it over with? Are you saying you know what, God is always with me and? then when opposition comes we cry o Lord where are you. why are we so quick to say lord what are you doing here . When the truth is we just become comfortable complacent.

The Journey started in a small little town. And The path itself is less than a half-mile long, but it embodies some of the most vivid and wrenching images in the Bible. It is the Way of the Cross, the path that Jesus walked while carrying his cross from Pontius Pilate's palace to his crucifixion on Mount Calvary, also called Golgotha. The Journey was a difficult journey but while many Would scream yell and mock . Jesus still had love and compassion for them. In the midst of it all he still was on the way.He never stopped and said you know what I’m done not doing it.

He was on the way. Every year we celebrate that empty tomb we praise God for that glorious day. But we don’t need to forget that it was the journey a half a mile while yet a innocent man who said I’ll take the punishment of the world and I’ll hang on that old rugged cross.
