Parents' Rights Now!

Parents' Rights Now!

Suzanne Gallagher

PARENTS’ RIGHTS IN EDUCATION
We represent millions of voices standing up for families, united for natural parents’ rights in the K-12 education system.

Local control, where school boards set policies honoring all students, and families must be restored.

We reject any indoctrination of school children with extreme pedagogy.

We support the proper role of K-12 academic education, focused on core skills, and preparing students for success. We reject controversial sexualization and racist doctrine.

We reject current practice by public school staff facilitating mental health counseling, medical treatment and procedures without parent knowledge, circumventing the relationship between parents and children.

We are here to provide parents tools, so they can stand against those stealing their rights. Stand with us!

In an engaging interview, Suzanne Gallgaher talks with Norma Rivera, a proactive grandmother from Damascus, Oregon, who is deeply involved in educational advocacy. Norma shares her firsthand experiences and concerns about the public school system, highlighting an incident involving her son. He was injured during a baseball practice, and despite the seriousness of his injury, the school's principal was unaware and even planned to suspend him for absenteeism. This situation sparked Norma's advocacy for more parental involvement and awareness in school affairs.

Norma also discusses her troubling observations while working temporarily at a school. She mentions a "secret room" where conversations between students and teachers were kept confidential, away from parents' knowledge, which she found inappropriate. Her main argument is that schools are overstepping their boundaries by handling matters that should be the responsibility of parents and by providing services beyond basic education. This, she argues, dilutes the academic focus and encroaches on parental rights, making a strong case for the necessity of active parental involvement in schooling to ensure that children's education aligns with family values and expectations.

In this pivotal episode, as the U.S. heads into a presidential election year, the conversation around parental rights takes center stage. We delve into the controversial stance of libertarian candidate Chase Oliver, who advocates for parental consent in administering gender-affirming treatments to minors. Meanwhile, we contrast the American debate with developments in Europe where countries like Sweden, Norway, and France have begun to classify such treatments as experimental. These nations recommend prioritizing psychological support and are cautious about the physical interventions, pointing out the significant risks and uncertain benefits associated with them. Join us as we explore these complex issues and their implications on parental rights and child welfare.
