This month, Panda presents Teknian in the mix. This 17-year old Swedish dubstep producer started out writing drum and bass music when he was 12 years old, later switching to dubstep when he encountered his first dubstep tune 'Africa' by the Others. Since then a lot happened as Teknian has received play support from names such as KOAN Sound, Culprate, Inspector Dubplate and Asa.
He is now part of the Screwloose Records family. Screwloose is pushing a fresh sound that is completely different from conventional dubstep that is a lot more minimal and deep. Teknian's tracks fit in there perfectly. His debut release on Screwloose entitled the Firedance EP is out now and can be downloaded @ http://j.mp/ItUnnf
In this mix, Teknian brings you a selection of his and Screwloose latest tracks and remixes in an exclusive mix! Leave your appreciation for him in the comments! Also don't forget to rate it (even if you hate it) and subscribe if you haven't done so yet. ★ Biography ★
Rene LaVice is widely regarded as one of the "must hear" artists coming out of North America. Hailing from Toronto, Canada, the young boardsman has already assembled a very impressive body of work in a relatively short time. In 2009 he came out guns blazing with his debut release for Stride Recordings, "The Future" EP. Subsequent singles, collaborations and remix projects like "Save Me" and "Photograph" caught the attention of labels from across North America and Europe and it wasn't long before they came knocking in search of fresh new music.
His work with veteran producer Gremlinz led to a release on Bad Concept Records, while the legendary John Rolodex quickly took notice and recruited the budding newcomer as a key member and intricate part of his Machinist Music imprint. It was around this time that his reputation as a fierce and fine producer made a sharp ascent with the support of Drum & Bass tastemakers from Bailey to Loxy, Marky to Sub Focus and even the mighty Andy C all regularly playing his music out in their sets both on tour and syndicated radio.
Riding the waves of a solid buzz both locally and globally, reputable labels like Rubik, New World Ordio, Dsci4 and Dylan's Freak Recordings scooped up music both already released and forthcoming from the artist touted as Canada's next big producer. Tracks like "Spile," "Just Words" and the massive hit "Headlock" have received rave reviews and given the world a glimpse at just how diverse LaVice's musical tastes and output really are. Expect a ton of new music and exciting collaborations in the very near future.

★ Biography ★
Luka Per aka Smooth was introduced to music at the age of 10, when he began to practice piano. After practicing for 3 years and later on he became more interested in guitar, also in such genres as metal, hardcore etc. When a couple of years passed by he attended his first drum n bass party and he was hooked!
It was very soon after that he decided not just to love this music but also to make his own tunes. His first release was 'Lost Cause' in 2005 on Touchin' Down Records. As he researched sound more and more, he decided that his sound just wasn't good enough, so he shut himself in the studio and waited until 2008 when his improving sound was noticed by Dementia. Together with Rregula they released 'Obfuscate' on Trust in Music 12". Following this, he released 'Space Attack' on Recon and the massive 'Out of Time' on Ruse records.
2011 has been Smooth's breakout year, starting off with the massive single 'Feel So Free' on Viper VIP, which was followed by 'Calling' and Smooth's absolutely immense remix of the Matrix & Futurebound classic 'Strength 2 Strength' on Viper's 'Worldwide 001' album. This was followed by two tracks on Viper's 'Summer Slammers 2011' album, with 'Want It' and 'Alienated' (as Telekinesis).
Now heading into 2012, Smooth is preparing to release his debut EP - 'Blinded By The Light' - due out in January and featuring 'Shifting Sands (feat. Shaz Sparks)', 'Cosmos' and 'Cyberfunk'.

From Estonia to the heart of modern dance music, Syn Cole has wasted no time setting his name in stone as an essential young breakout. Celebrated by Myspace, Vibe, Dancing Astronaut and EDM Tunes alike as one of the hottest artists of 2014, this is a year for the taking for the man behind a consistent string of versatile club hits.

As a result, Syn Cole has become a name renowned for keeping the big room melodic and in constant progression.

#178 - Drum and Bass Mix - Body & Soul
Panda Mix Show: The Best EDM Mixes Weekly // The Electro House Mix, Trap Mix, Drum n Bass Mix and Lounge Mix Shows
08/09/14 • -1 min
The D&B duo Body & Soul have been dedicated to the dance floor-smashing beats their audience loves them for since their introduction into the scene many years ago. For Body & Soul though the ability to keep crossing musical (and mental) borders, experimenting with different musical genres and throwing in new sounds to create something just a little different from your usual drum and bass anthem is essential. The outfit has become known for their versatile and unprecedented sounds that wow ravers all over the globe and attract new audiences everywhere they go.
Since their debut in 2004 Body & Soul have been honing their abilities in creating music that at once both adheres to and subverts the traditional definition of the term ‘Drum & Bass’; a dystopian sound that for all its aggression and energy carries that distinct Body & Soul eccentricity and melody throughout. Having toyed with the idea of an album project for a number of years, the duo are now ready to release their debut long-player Rebirth: the most diverse, free-form and comprehensive exponent of the Body & Soul sound to date.

#149 - Electro House Mix - King Kornelius
Panda Mix Show: The Best EDM Mixes Weekly // The Electro House Mix, Trap Mix, Drum n Bass Mix and Lounge Mix Shows
03/02/14 • -1 min
Neil Hatherall, the man behind the King Kornelius moniker, is a self taught EDM producer residing in Ontario Canada. First entering the electronic music scene in 2010 he has since been busy building his throne made of epic melodies, heavy bass lines and pounding drums; All of which are bred together to create an emotional roller coaster music addicts flock to.
Ironically choosing a career that entirely revolves around his ears, Neil has suffered from hearing problems since childhood. A condition that prevents fluid in the inner ear from draining properly means he experiences distorted/muffled hearing, ear pain and tinnitus. Despite this obstacle often present while creating and performing music, Neil perseveres toward his goals of world-wide recognition.
Rather than following footsteps, Neil is dedicated to creating his own path to success. A desire to be known for having a unique style of music forces him to create it all from scratch. He hand makes and designs all his synths and sounds, never using a preset or any sampled sounds with out some kind of modulation or effects processing. This can range from constructing his kick drums from a set of 4 or 5 different samples, to field recording and incorporating his own samples and sound effects. Or from layering synths with lengthy effects chains, to writing, performing and recording his own vocals and live instruments. Neil believes this to be the only way to create a truly original style of music, and the world is well on it's way to recognizing him for it.
In just 3 years, the King Kornelius name has over 42 Beatport releases on 23 renown record labels including Bug Eyed, Burn the Fire, and Big Fish. An EP 'It's time to die!' reached #3 in the top 100 releases in the beatport Electro House category. The single, 'Regicide,' made it to #12 in the drum and bass category, and a collaboration with BC's Soulfix and Australian vocalist, Jay Jacob, entitled 'Broken" reached #14 in the dubstep top 100. With many other chart toppers under his belt, and lots more to come, King Kornelius has establish validity to his name. And despite hearing issues, Neil pushes through to show the world what he is made of.
