While Ovies & Giglio still think it's a leverage play from Belichick to speed up an NFL coaching job, there could be something else going on that shows UNC isn't truly serious about running a real college football program. While App State and Charlotte named their new coaches, NC State is looking for a new defensive coordinator ahead of their bowl game against ECU. To the NFL, where the Carolina Panthers had another "shoulda coulda" game. Regardless of the outcome, the Panthers are back to being watchable and have elements of a capable football team in the future.
