The quarantine has us in a bit of a scheduling quagmire, so here for your listening pleasure is the first episode of our Patreon-only show, FAQueue. We discuss everyone's favorite Future World Discovery pavillion and it's law-breaking butterfly, among other things. If you enjoy the show, please consider becoming a Patreon Saint of OppAtt at http://www.patreon.com/aloadofbs, just like Ransom Meltzer. Yeah, he's getting shouted out in the episode description this week. Deal with it.

A Song Of Prince And Jeff
Opposite Attractions: A Theme Park Design Show

This week, we say goodbye to the Ride Rehab podcast, try to figure out which Will Smith character we are, and put some Jiggy attractions into Big Park: Music, or whatever we have decided to call it these days.
Apologies for the lateness of the episode. Outside forces conspired against us after we murdered that other theme park podcast.

Let's Get Very Dangerous!
Opposite Attractions: A Theme Park Design Show
10/21/19 • 38 min
This week, we begin talking about some theme park malfunctions, which ends up leading perfectly into our plan to give our Epic Universe some harrowingly dangerous attractions. First up, Scottye invites guests into The Tomb Of Wonders, a dark ride coaster featuring very real special effects that (hopefully) just barely miss riders. Then, Jim takes the idea of the heartline barrel roll and adds, you know, a space camp gyroscope to it. I mean, the point was to be dangerous, right?
Next week -- we celebrate (?) 100 episodes (and a top 5 show) by playing Jim's tabletop RPG Survive The Magic.

Let's Get Spooky And Childish!
Opposite Attractions: A Theme Park Design Show
09/23/19 • 32 min
This week, we discuss new signs, (hopefully) fake scripts, and do our best to give our very own Epic Universe some very spooktacular kiddie attractions. First up, Scottye invites kids of all ages to experience The Ride Where Everything Goes Wrong, a menagerie of animatronics from around the multiverse converging around a boat that somehow has wheels. It has to be technically possible, as we've seen it at Disney Springs! Then, Jim decides that it isn't such a small world that we can't do some Mary Blair murder and yeets those dolls squarely into the Haunted Mansion where they will forever be entangled in your nightmares. It doesn't so much have a name as it has a blood-curdling sound that fills your soul the moment you envision such a hellscape. Isn't he supposed to be the reasonable one?

Challenge: The Grocery Boys (Food-Based Attraction)
Opposite Attractions: A Theme Park Design Show
07/16/18 • 33 min
Everybody loves food, including your pals at Opposite Attractions, so this week we decided to make food the star of our attractions in so much as we could muster. First up is a ride-to-a-restaurant known as Jimmy's Buffet: Escape From Flavortown where guests escape from Johnny Garlic's and into a much nicer buffet down the street while riding in their own booths. Meanwhile, Scottye proves there was not much for Jim's guests to escape from as he wields his power to will Finkatouille into existence, where park mascot Rat Fink has kidnapped Guy Fieri and set about destroying the actual Ratatouille attraction from Walt Disney Studios Park in Disneyland Paris (and coming soon to Epcot) with help from Guy himself! It's a 5-drink minimum, which, of course it is. This is France! So be our guest, be our guest, be our guest and listen today!

Challenge: Lonesome Ghosts (Spooky Attraction)
Opposite Attractions: A Theme Park Design Show
06/18/18 • 36 min
This week, we continue our tradition of SpooooooOOOOoooky attractions! First up, Scottye delivers The Swing From Hell, a 1930's nightclub speakeasy rollercoaster with a 3 drink minimum of fire, brimstone, and some bitchin' tunes from Postmortem Jukebox, playing live every night at The Hellhole! Meanwhile, on the other side of the park, Jim has sent his employees out ghost-hunting and they may have accidentally incurred the wrath of the Marx Brothers in his rotating theater attraction That's The Spirit!! Maybe they'll join the Mickey Mouse Club and then get hit over the head with it?
Also, they discuss their short vacations including some Hashtag Too Hot Disney knock-off merch, a claustrophic horror tunnel, a fart button, and a detour to the land of PassFast.

Challenge: Jungle Rhythm (Jungle Attraction)
Opposite Attractions: A Theme Park Design Show
06/04/18 • 33 min
This week on our world famous program - the deepest darkest jungle attractions! Jim makes it all about himself as he invites guests to experience Jim's (Apparently) Amazing Jungle Adventure and boy is there a reason that one word is in parenthesis. Join Jim as he delights you with tales of a recent Central America jungle trek while his engineers and artists show you how everything really happened. Meanwhile on the other side of the park, Scottye takes guests down a very special river on his very own World Famous Jungle Booze, a 2-drink minimum attraction where you are also plied with alcohol during the ride. Set sail with your bartender/skipper as you visit the birthplaces of many famous alcoholic beverages and sample them as well. Things get a little wild on his jungle river, folks, and let me be the first to warn you that bathing elephants and animatronic pythons are the least of your worries.
Also, we delve into another episode of our show-within-a-show PASSFAST as Jim discusses the newest attraction of Six Flags Great America - Mardi Gras Hangover, a looping attraction that may or may not be a roller coaster (spoiler: it's not).

Challenge: Try Everything (Holiday/Seasonal Event)
Opposite Attractions: A Theme Park Design Show
04/23/18 • 34 min
This week, we give Vista a much needed hit of that seasonal festival love that our good friends at Disney love so much. Jim invites Al Gore to bring the scary and the hilarity and Scottye somehow creates Opposite Attractions: The Convention in a manner that isn't so much funny as it is potentially legally treacherous. Then he shoots children with a present gun - you know, for the magic.

Challenge: Look Through My Eyes (Bodycam Attraction)
Opposite Attractions: A Theme Park Design Show
04/09/18 • 34 min
This week, Jim thought it was a good challenge to put bodycams on theme parks guests. Was he correct? Scottye is ready player one to put the internet in charge of your basic motor functions while Jim turns Universal's Halloween Horror Nights into a democratic election (with cheap 3D tricks, wakka wakka!)
But before all that, Scottye googles for the worst theme parks ever and is absolutely not disappointed both in the lack of quality and the abundance of dicks. It's like the internet knows him.

Challenge: Water Rides
Opposite Attractions: A Theme Park Design Show
10/02/17 • 32 min
This week, Scottye and Jim attempt to build an amazing water ride for their park, Apex! Jim attempts to make a good-hearted run at making a fun water ride... then Scottye sprays juice all over it. Along the way, they find new friends, make new enemies and most of all... wonder exactly what Mickey would be like at the water cooler!
