Being a mother is hard, and often times women find themselves stuck in the identity of being a mother and lose their sense of purpose in life. When you're building a home and a career and finding the balance of the division of labor as well as living a life of meaning and purpose, it can be very difficult and stifling. There are ways that mothers can find an opportunity to reflect on their own growth, dreams and in this episode we discuss how.
Julie Neale is a leadership coach, community builder, and writer. Her “for-purpose” venture, Mother’s Quest, provides inspiration, coaching and relationship-building so that mothers, and those who work with young people, can connect to support and resources, fulfill their unique purpose, and live their E.P.I.C. lives. After a 20-year career as a leader in youth-serving non-profit organizations, Julie turned her focus to coaching, training at the Coaches Training Institute, and facilitating a process known as “reflection” for youth development professionals.

For many women, confidence in our voice stifles our ability to excel in business. The messages we've received from society enforce people pleasing tendencies, being timid, and fear of speaking up. Business coach, and the creator of Unleashed, Claudia Consolati teaches women how to amplify their unique voice and message into creating a wealthy and successful life- however they define it.
Dr. Claudia works with visionary women entrepreneurs who want to grow purposeful businesses and be fully confident and visible in the work that they do. Growing up, she was the sensitive, nerdy, creative kid in a very extroverted family. She preferred novels to real-life conversations; and made-up friends to flesh-and-bone ones. Over time she learned how to activate her authentic self, find her voice, and scale her business to new heights, and she wants to help other women do the same.

One of the biggest contributors to the wage gap among women especially WOC and men is trauma around money. In this episode I speak with Luzy King, a business coach that focuses on helping women of color heal their relationships with money, overcome money-limiting beliefs, pay off debt, and become investors. She talks about her experience growing up financially insecure, and how that affected how she views money and herself. She gets vulnerable about feeling unworthy of building wealth, and how that trauma affects many women today.
Luzy is a first generation investor who identified the lack of financial literacy in disenfranchised communities, especially in women. She now works as a coach and helps decrease lack of female representation in the finance industry, the lack of resources available for women, particularly for Latinas and women of color, and helping women understand financial literacy for a financially free future.
