One Man and his Therapist

One Man and his Therapist

Stephen Dalton | Zak Powers | Genuina Media

Ten years ago Stephen was lost. He needed guidance and help to find the person he knew was meant to be. One day, in 2015, after coming close to death and hitting new lows, he picked up the phone and called the number of a therapist in his hometown of Dublin, Ireland. The person who answered was a very respected Therapist called Zak. Zak went on to help Stephen find the person he was meant to be, and so much more. Zak helped Stephen get sober from alcohol and move into a thriving and deeply peaceful new chapter of his life. Then the therapy stopped for a few years, and both men went on with their lives. But now, Stephen and Zak have decided to start Therapy again. Only this time, you are also invited to listen. This, is One Man and his Therapist. Real Therapy. Real Growth. Real Healing.

In this session, Zak and Stephen talk about the idea of what it is to be a man. Stephen has just driven through the villages of Transylvania on a beautiful morning in order to get to his studio to talk to Zak. He is bright and awake and ready to talk. Some very deep and bog discoveries are made today. Stephen expresses his slight unease around particular types of men and the idea of masculinity as a whole. Zak and Stephen have some real insights together in this session. It is quite an unexpected turn of events, as Stephen realises this is in fact a very important part of his psychological make up and a great work is beginning as a result of this session.Disclaimer: Welcome to our Podcast - ‘One man and his therapist’ where the opinions expressed by our presenters are entirely their own.
