09/21/18 • 40 min
Welcome back to the latest episode of This Week in Aruba, which covers the events from Friday, September 21st to Sunday, September 27th also known as timeshare week 38. Maggie and I are back to regular programming as our latest trip to Aruba has concluded.
The shout-out for this week goes to someone who is a friend of ours, Yan(?) Scherrenburg. We met up while we were down in the island and he showed me a side that I never knew existed. He does an amazing spot-on rendition of Fats Domino - Blueberry Hill. An incredible guy.

EP117: Tiffany Howard of HGTV Caribbean Life
Today on One Happy Podcast we are being joined by a special guest, Tiffany Howard, who appeared on an episode of HGTV Caribbean Life titled "Exploring New Terrain on Aruba" which originally aired Sunday, September 2nd at 9pm. If you weren’t able to watch it, you can check out your local listings for a replay. Tiffany and her family were featured on their search for a house in Aruba.
Listen to Tiffany’s story of how she and her husband discovered the island and how they came to the decision of purchasing an Aruban home. It’s definitely a journey full of twists and turns.
Their family’s fully-refurbished Aruban home which was completed last September 2017 has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, a small pool, a couple of grills at the backyard, and is 10 minutes away from the nearest beach all encased in a beautiful house painted in Caribbean blue. They’ve had it available for people who want to rent it out as well.
Buying a home in Aruba definitely took some time, Tiffany says. It's not a quick process at all and it's very similar to the process of buying a house in the USA but with the added stress of being in another country. But everything turned alright in the end with some hard work and with the help of Tiffany’s team in Aruba. They have great communication. Every home that they keep is immaculate, clean, and consistent with amazing housekeeping and management. They really want to make their clients feel like the experience of living in Aruba even at least for a short while. Head on over to MyArubaDreamVilla.com for more information.
Lastly, Tiffany gives advice for those who are keen on seeking out a house in Aruba: be patient and find a good team to support you. There is a lot of work to be done but there are also people who can help you navigate those waters so don't be afraid.
ON THIS EPISODE OF ONE HAPPY PODCAST, YOU WILL:
- Find out the full story, from start to finish, of how Tiffany and her family made their dream Aruban home come true
- Hear about what they love to do in Aruba for fun
- Listen to Tiffany discuss why she loves to immerse herself in Aruba’s culture
