New York Giants: Breaking down the Chicago Bears on both sides of the ball
One Giant Podcast09/30/22 • 26 min
The guys got on together Thursday afternoon to take a look at where the New York Giants can look to attack the Chicago Bears. Adam and Andy discuss how both teams are in surprising 2-1 records three weeks into the year but the similarities do not stop there. Both squads have been run first on offense and stout on the defensive side of the ball.
There may still be questions about Daniel Jones, but Justin Fields seems miles away from a trusted signal caller. Wink Martindale will need to continue to rotate bodies and looks to create pressure and also contain the running game lead by Kahlil Herbert.
With Sterling Shepard done for the year, the guys agree that the wideout room is obviously thin BUT it simply cannot be the excuse for not opening up the playbook a bit more for Daniel Jones. Pressures and sacks will come, but when the pocket holds a player like Darius Slayton might be a key to stretching the field and the Bears defense.
