This week we are at Browns Bay Brewing Company for a bit of craft beer tasting and business updates!

Cam's putting the final touches on his new endurance calculators that any coach can embed on their website. Cam admits he's procrastinating getting it over the line and he often gets to 80% of a project and starts to lose interest. He needs to push through and get this over the line and out into the wild to see if it works as a channel for getting more potential new coaches to the website.
Mikki is busy busy writing lots of content for her mentorship program and also in parallel getting everything ready for Mondays Matter in May.

It's not long before Cam heads of to Hawaii for two weeks holiday before meeting up with Mikki in Austin.

Cam's business coaching group have created a new fast track program to capture people that haven't quite managed to graduate to the next level of the coaching group and Cam is considering joining the new program. It's a lot more expensive but will be with a much smaller group of maximum of 12 peeps with weekly calls so could end up being good value. As it happens it also includes an in person event in Boston that is just a day after Cam and Mikki end their Texas trip and Cam hasn't booked his flight home yet. Could be a sign as things fall into place.

Mikki is back from Los Angeles and we are back at the Beer spot in person

New Zealand has just been hit by a cyclone and in recovery mode.

Cam runs us through his experience with Kale Brock and the Surfers Road Map

Cam just had one of his business coaching calls this morning with Dan Martell with is the boss man of coaching. Dan was next level compared to his coaching team. Dan is very direct, to the point and really zeros in to what each founder needs to do to move forward.

Mikki shares a difficult interaction she had with an unhappy customer. We talked about how to deal with that sort of situation by learning what you can from a complaining customer, making improvements where you can but moving on quickly without dwelling.

Planning is underway for our trip to Florida and Texas in May. In typical fashion Mikki has already planned all her flights and movements including gym sessions, and daily walks. Cam is barely starting to think about it.

On the Line - Minus 10 in Colorado
play

03/03/23 • 49 min

Mikki calls in from just outside Denver Colorado from a good craft beer spot. Her planned walk to the venue was foiled by minus 10 degree centigrade weather.

Cam seems to have lost a week to black hole and hasn't made progress since the last podcast. He has been able to refocus his marketing efforts though based on a great business call with his coaching group. The head coach Dan Martell was on the call and did a great job of distilling down what's required based on different metrics of your business.

We have a discussion about lead generation and lead nurturing and how important it is to nurture potential new customers so they begin to know, like and trust you instead of trying to sell things to people when you are still a stranger.

Cam points out that marketing is not the same as advertising which is a common misconception.

He wrote a blog to cover that off
