On The Doc - Ep. 37: Super Size Me

Ep. 37: Super Size Me

07/30/22 • 73 min

On The Doc
Original Publish Date: March 11, 2022 In 2004, Morgan Spurlock made a movie that impacted millions. And that's no understatement. The movie did well at the box office, was nominated for an Oscar, and to this day, is shown in middle and high school health classes. And yet, the claims are all dubious and Spurlock seems to just simply not like people who aren't thin and fit. This movie does bring to light the pitfalls of the standard American diet but it also takes liberties with the actual ramifications And we're here for it. You'll have to forgive Amarilys's vulnerability in this episode and congratulate Misty on how well she handled the tears that came as we talked about a subject Amarilys is all too familiar with. ______________ If you like what you hear, join us over on Patreon and leave us a review if you have a moment. Enjoy!
