I start a new side series, Marvel Phase 4. In Part 1, I discuss the 2021 Marvel MCU movies, Black Widow; Shang-chi and the Legend of the 10 Rings; and Eternals.
(1) Black Widow:

I talk about Black Widow's comic book backstory and how it relates / differs to her MCU movie character.
A brief rundown of the Black Widow's MCU appearances.
The Black Widow's movie intro which introduces Natasha's Family and the Red Room.
Talk about the family dynamic of the Black Widow's family, The Red Guardian; Yalena and Melina.
I give my theory on how The Red Guardian could have fought Captain America in the 80's.
Talk about the villains of the movie, the Taskmaster and General Dreykov.
Talk about the movie's ending; what is the Phase 4 macguffin?

(2) Shang-chi and the Legend of the 10 Rings:

Talk about how this movie redeemed the Mandarin's character from Iron Man 3; I talk about the Mandarin's comic book back story. How they combined the Mandarin and Dr Fu-Manchu in the comic books to create the Wenwu character in the Shang-Chi movie.
I talk about Shang-Chi's comic book backstory.
I talk about the family dynamic between Shang-Chi family; I compare how it's similar to Black Widow's family dynamic.
I talk about how Marvel made a great Kung-fu movie with Shang-Chi and the Legend of the 10 Rings; how it kepts the core elements of a classic kung-fu movie's story.
I talk about how Shang-Chi is connected into the MCU. Did we reveal the Phase 4 macguffin?

(3) Eternals:

Not much to say about a movie I was not satisfied with.
