It was a couple years of living in Australia that sent this Kansas based stage performer on a detour through the TV News business. But, it didn't take long for Margo Losey Mikkelson to find her way back to music and the theatre. In this episode, she tells us about her journey and we welcome a "pop-in" visit from one of her Old News friends, and fellow performer, Shannon Payette Seip.

In 2004, Peg Cokins was diagnosed with bladder cancer. It was slow growing and treated as more of a nuisance than a life-threatening situation. Things took a turn when the cancer spread to a kidney, which was removed. In 2016, Peg received devastating news...the bladder cancer cells had spread to her lymph nodes, which meant Stage IV cancer. The next year, it spread to the liver. Without treatment, Peg was given only a few months to live. Then a miracle happened! The University of Wisconsin Carbone Cancer Center was doing a clinical trial on a drug to treat exactly what Peg had. She shares her experience and why more research is needed for Bladder Cancer on OLD NEWS with Dan & Carrie.
