Hello, hello everyone! For those of you that may not know me, my name is Kelli and I’m a Stay-at-Home Mom of 2 little girls, currently ages 4 & 2. 👋 Nicolette is a L&D Nurse in North Virginia at one of the large hospitals there.
👉She and her husband Serge, have 2 kids, ages 11 and 2.

➡️ During her second birth, Nicolette suffered a very rare and often fatal birth complication in which she and her son almost lost their lives!

👋 Jenn grew up in MI but is now living in Kentucky with her husband Jordan and 2 sons, Parker who is 5 and Jameson who is 3
👋 She is due with her 3rd, a baby girl, in September!
👋 She works in healthcare doing Medical Coding & Auditing, but outside of work she enjoys sports and especially watching her kids play them now
👋 She also enjoys photography which is a passion inspired by losing her dad at 23 years old and not having many photos of him to look back at

They also touch on the dangers of comparing oneself to others on social media and the importance of doing what works for one's own mental health.
Further conversation includes the challenges they faced during their breastfeeding journeys including pressures and expectations, the lack of quality support from lactation consultants in the hospital, difficulties with bottle refusal, & how rapid weaning can cause Post-weaning Depression. They also touch on the topic of dysphoric milk ejection reflex (DMER), a condition that causes feelings of rage or irritability during breastfeeding. Despite the adversities, both Taylor & Kelli talk about what helped them to persevere and continue to breastfeed their babies.
